I live in Austin and am having a hard time finding low point bread items. All I am able to find is the light sliced bread. Where do you get low point hamburger / hot dog buns? Also what about low point pita bread and english muffins? The lowest I have been able to find for any of these is 3 points.

My mom's in Houston and gets Nature's Own Sugar Free buns for 1 pt., but I can't find them anywhere and end up eating my veggie-burgers on bread. Oh well.

I shop in Bryan/College Station and find 2 point Rainbo hamburger buns at Sam's Club. You get 16 for $1.55 (I usually eat several then freeze the rest). If you don't go to Sam's, check HEB, Kroger and Walmart Superstore for 2 point Roman Meal hamburger buns. The grocery stores may also have the 2 point Rainbo buns; I just never looked for them at the grocery store. I prefer the Rainbo because they are much larger for the same points. If you make homemade subs, you can find 3 point Cobblestone pre-sliced buns (hoagie bun? - not at home right now so don't know exact name on package). Nature's Own makes wheat, honey wheat and sourdough bread which you can find at most of the major grocery chains in central Texas. You get 2 slices for 1 point. I found an English muffin at Walmart Superstore that is only 2 points, but I don't remember the brand name. I don't shop much at Albertson's or Apple Tree, but I would bet they carry most of these breads. Good luck!

Thanks Tato! I loved living in College Station! I haven't found anything at my HEB or Randalls, but I'll try Super Wal Mart. We don't have a Kroger near by, so I'm out of luck there. I don't know why many of the stores here don't have low point bread items. When I lived in CS I had good luck at the Kroger and in Houston Kroger Signature had a huge selection.

I can find the low point (1 pt) bread Nature's Own brand at HEB & Wal-Mart locally. But both stores quit carrying fat free tortillas though.

The stores locally have a card you can fill out to request that they stock an item. Maybe a request could be made for them to stock the brands you like. I am going to fill one out for ff tortillas because I use them a lot.

Another Texas Aggie here. I live in San Angelo, west central Texas. I cannot find any one or two point bread products here. I have checked Super Walmart, HEB, Albertsons, and several independents. All the store managers say they will locate me some, but so for no one has. I travel across the state often, and look every chance I have hoping to find some one or two point buns, etc, but I have had no luck.
