New member looking for meal ideas

  • Hello, my name is Char and today I was a guest at a TOPS meeting. I decided to join since the exchange plan works reallly well for me. What I was wondering is, do you all follow the recommended exchanges per meal or just add them up as you go?

    Also, I would love to hear some of your meal/snack ideas.

    I don't use the exchange plan myself. It is a great plan though! Give us some info on you We would love to get to know you better!!!

    I don't eat too much white breads or pastas so I am a chicken and eggs kind of gal....lol

    No but really I eat alot of whole grains.

    I love homemade oatmeal with splenda and cinnamon
    Frozen grapes
    Air Popcorn
    Apples

    Ummm... Help me out here girls...

    My mind is going blank....lol

  • I don't follow the exchange program ither. But i know it works. I find it difficult to use with combination foods. Such as meatloaf, beef stew, ect. Our family uses brown rice, whole wheat bread, and whole wheat spag. ect.
    Snack ideas, the new 100 calorie snacks (specially the oreo's)
    94% fat free kettle Corn-orville redenbacher
    new carmel, apple corn too 94% fat free is good.
    take air popped corn spray pam butter flavoring, and sprinkle with splenda, and cinnamon. good.
    fat free pringles, low fat chips, there is a bunch out there now a days
    I tend to be a convience cooking type person. the easier it is for me to grab or cook the better I do.
