New Discovery - 60 calories of yumminess (ice cream treat)

  • I have been having a bad day and I went to the grocery store today, I decided that I wanted some of the sugar free fudgsicles, but unfortunately the store was out of them. So I discovered Blue Benny "Health Smart" fat free, no sugar added ice cream bars at 60 calories a piece. They are bigger than the sugar free fudgsicles which explains why they are more calories but only slightly. The ingredients look good, here is a link to their website:

  • Hmmm the site won't let me see the ingredients, but that sounds good. How do they tase? I'm always on the lookout for a new sweet treat!
  • Me neither but I am goin to Wal-Mart tomorrow to get some stuff so I will look for them. Thanks for the info!
  • Hmmmmm.... could this be a Frankenfood? Very strange that there is no nutrition info!
  • I like them so far, the ingredients don't seem too different from the no sugar added fudgsicles, here are the ingredients for the fudge bar: Fat Free Milk, Polydextrose, Sorbitol, Cocoa Processed with Alkali, Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Maltodextrin, Glycerine, Sucralose, Mono & Diglycerices, Carob Bean Gum, Cellulose Gum, Guar Gum, Corn Starch, Polysorbate 80, Carrageenan, Natural Vanilla Extract, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D3.

    I was going to compare with NSA fudgsicles, but those ingredients aren't advertised on the popsicle website either.
  • Those are good. I've never tried the fudge ones, but I have had the raspberry creme ones and the rainbow bars. I'll have to see if the Walmart here has the fudge ones...I haven't seen those before.

  • Unfortunately, we don't have Blue Bunny out here...but those sound very good! I was able to see info for the Raspberry and Orange ones, and they look fine...a bit of sugar alcohols, but otherwise, fine. Be aware that the Raspberry ones have raspberry puree in them, so would not be safe for Phase 1.

    Thanks for sharing this with us, Nelie! I suppose they are frankenfood, but not nearly as bad as some options...and definitely no worse than the NSA fudgesicles.
  • Yes I should've clarified, I didn't think these were Phase 1 but rather Phase 2
  • Wee!! Grats on your early "Christmas goal," Nelie!
    <cheers>
