Found a fantastic place to buy health shakes!

  • Hey there, I'm a newbie. It’s good to be here tho. I've thoroughly enjoyed browsing thru all the previous posts and picking up ideas and tips. Just want to share a little secret with those of you struggling as much as I did to find good protein health shakes or energy bars. There is a site where you can buy all sorts of weight management products at really reasonable prices, it’s at, eBay
I know I sound like one of those corny sales people trying to pull a fast one, but I’m honestly only trying to help. My friend recommended I give it a try, I was suspicious at first – you know the whole buying online thing, but I’ve really been amazed at just what you can buy! Tell me what you guys think? Both about the buying online and the products!
  • Hi Sal! I've edited your post, per our forum guidelines

I agree, eBay can be a good place to buy shake mixes or anything else, for those that use them. It pays to shop around, though. For example, Vitaglo offers rates on Myoplex that are lower than even eBay.
  • Ebay does have some good deals, but please pay attention to the expiration dates. If the expiration date isn't listed, ask first!
  • can you say... SPAM?
I've seen this person's post on 2 more forums I visit often. So this is mainly an attempt to sell more stuff, not a friendly post to help out other people. Shame
  • Aha!

    Thanks so much, Elisa...

I was going to add that another thing to watch (other than expiration dates) when buying on eBay is the shipping costs. Places like Vitaglo generally get very, VERY good UPS ground commercial rates (actually if you order $50 or more, Vitaglo will ship for free - I'm sure others do as well) whereas many eBay sellers charge actual shipping costs. This bit me in the boo-boo a few years ago when I got a killer deal on some Myoplex RTDs but ended up paying well over $20 in shipping via UPS ground...and to add insult to injury, the RTDs tasted like ca-ca - I gagged on the only one I attempted to consume. Fortunately I was able to resell them on eBay (I did say in my listing that I was selling them because I couldn't stand the taste!) pretty quickly - since we got a special employee discount with our contracted overnight shipper, I was able to ship them Next Day Air for less than $10 to a very happy winning bidder (who assured me that he had drank these before and liked the taste... ).
  • HA!!!! How funny what a simple web search on a user name will turn up....the exact same post at another site just like Elisa said. I found her posts at Diet Discussions and buddies building beautiful bodies can you say spam spam spammity spam?!!? Good Eye Elisa, I just couldn't help doing a search to see what I could turn up, she's also on several marketing sites....

MrsJim I totally agree on the shopping around especially for best shipping prices! Sometimes you can pay the same as you would just going to GNC to buy the product as you would ordering it off ebay after shipping costs are added in!! So where's the deal in that?!?
  • I think this spammer is lucky the post wasn't deleted right off the board. I get enough spam in my junk mail, thank you very much.

And may I add that nothing makes me boycott a company/seller/concept as much as spam does.
