Carb Solutions Peanut Butter???

  • Does anyone know if Carb Solutions Peanut butter by Jiffy is Ok on Phase 1. That is the only peanut butter that I could find in the store that had the lowest carbs and sugar. Under 1 gram sugar per 2 Tbs, and 5 grams carbs.

  • Sugarholic, go for natural peanut butter which will say "natural peanut butter" on the label. I buy one called Adam's Natural Peanut Butter but I know smuckers makes one as well as a few others.
  • I don't think the carbs are important. It's not a low-carb diet. Unless you're doing a mixture of diets or something. I say go with the natural pb too. It's tastes really good too.
  • Smucker's makes one, as Nelie said...It's just called Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter. Only ingredients listed on the label are peanuts and salt. It looked nasty to be, but I bought it anyway. The oil from the peanuts I guess settles on top, so you have to mix it up really well and then put it in the fridge after you open it. Other than that - it is really good!

  • Smuckers is the best!
  • the carb option peanut butter is loaded with trans fats which is not a good thing go for natural or simply jiff would even be beter than the car option.
  • MY Smuckers is over by the Carb Options one in the grocery aisle...
  • I was raised on Adam's and every other brand I've tried tastes icky and sweet to me. Adam's is great - it tastes so peanutty. We buy the no-stir kind in buckets, because we all love peanut butter. The no-stir just has an emulsifier added to it; I think it's okay plus no peanut oil spills on the pantry shelf!

Any natural foods store will have other brands of natural pb, and probably other nut butters too (DH likes almond butter). Just check the ingredients to make sure there is no added sugar.
  • Skippy carb options good-no trans fat
If you don't like the natural peanut butter and carb solutions has trans fat, I know Skippy has carb options, which I use religiously and there is zero trans fat in it, 5 carbs and 1 gram of sugar. It tastes just like regular peanut butter. I love it!!!
