I need help from the WW folks,

  • Hi everyone! I have been doing low carb for several years with a year off to switch to calorie counting, which worked as well for me. Everyone at my job is on WW, and doing great, I have asked several times this simple question, How many calories would 25 points be??? No one knows, or is this a closely guarded trade secret I would love to join WW, just dont have the money right now, and thought Id try to ask a few questions first. Thanks so much. Linda
  • There is a formula to calculate it from scratch:
    # of points = calories/50 + fat/12 - fiber/5

    *note: fiber is capped at 4

    A reminder that I carry around in my head when I am shopping is 35 cal with 0 fat and 0 fiber is 1 point.
  • 18= 1050 calories
    19= 1100 calories
    20= 1150 calories
    21= 1200 calories
    22= 1250 calories
    23= 1300 calories
    24= 1350 calories
    25= 1400 calories
    26= 1450 calories
    27= 1500 calories
    28= 1550 calories
    29= 1600 calories
    30= 1650 calories
    31= 1700 calories
    32= 1750 calories
    33= 1800 calories
    34= 1850 calories
    35= 1900 calories

    And this DOES NOT include the 200-250 calories a day W/W built into the program for free veggies. This was provided to me by a leader from their materials. This is a good general but remember it can be a bit higher or lower depending on fat and fiber.
