OK--checking in with you guys has kept me "honest" and motivated about my daily exercise. Which I love.
So I'm going to mention another task that is hard for me to do--so that perhaps the discipline from the ONE area will rub off on the other.
For the second day in a row I have actually put my butt in the chair and worked on my kids' book.
This is big. (The accomplishment, not my butt...er uh, well, um.....)
I can't go into details....Talking about writing gets in the way of DOING the writing, I've found. (Ellis relates, I'll bet!) Plus I don't want to jinx anything.
But from time to time, as I make progress, I'll check back in for a few strokes from you fine folks. Like many of you, I'll bet, I'm horribly self-critical and tend to be a perfectionist about my own work. (I don't expect OTHERS to be perfect for heaven's sake, but for some dumb reason I hold myself to a higher standard.) So here's what I need to hear:
"It doesn't have to be perfect!"
So...for my non-scale victory, I will proudly claim my two-days of writing consistency!

(To be truly lifelike, this smiley should have drops of blood springing from its head!)
