I am new to this site and looking for some advice from veteran Atkins dieters. I just started the Atkins plan 2 days ago. Before that I spent a month eating low-fat. Since starting on Atkins I feel like I've gained weight. It is so hard to switch gears going from low-fat to eating butter, cheese and so on. How long does it take for your body to get to the ketosis stage? Any advice on meals and choices?? Can anyone tell me what are the best scales to buy? I have a regular scale but sometimes it seems like the dail is off one way or the other so I'm not sure if I am getting a true reading. I bought a digital scale but I was told they were not very accurate. When I weighed on the digital scale I weighed between 4-6 lbs more than my other scale
depending on where I placed it on the floor. PLEASE HELP ME??!! Any advice would be very appreciated.

It DID weigh me the same as my old dial one so I'm pretty happy with it.
