Peachie and other baseball fans!

  • I'm going to post this and than run out the door, Hazel has a VERY early doctor's appt and I'm going with her to keep an eye on the little guy's while she is in seeing the doc.

Chipper Jones, you know Chipper Jones Well, it seems that he and his wife had a baby boy yesterday. You will never guess what they named him.

Shea Logan Jones...................Shea is for Shea Stadium! Chipper said, Shea Stadium has been very good FOR him (note, he did not say TO him) his first homerun was hit in Shea Stadium.

    I thought it was cute
  • ARRRRRRRRRGH!!!! Boyohboy - debkay, I used to think that you were a nice person!!! but kickiing a poor Met fan when we are so far down is really mean.................
  • deb... ya disappear for months on end, and your first post is about BASEBALL????? and no mention of how you're doing? or what's going on with hazel? or anything else????

SHAME ON YOU!!!! <did the guilt work??? didn't think so...>
  • I think I fit in the "and others" category. Shea? He coulda named him Torre or Jeter or something. Actually, I think it's kind of cute!

So Deb, now that there's actually a post from you (Jif, I'm trying the guilt method too) there's things I want to know.
    1. Are you doing the 5K again this year?
    2. Are you well, active and still incredibly lovely?
    3. Do you think the Rockies will ever have a chance at winning the series?

I'm waiting with baited breath (ewww!) for answers to these and other as yet unasked questions.

    Your fan,
    Chickadee

  • hmmmm.....let me think...I should send little Shea a gift....hmmmmm.....what to give, what to give!!!???? .....pin stripe nappies, perhaps!!!!!?

There, there sono...it's ok... ( I think!!!! ROFL)

    yea, Debkay...what's the scoop?

    peach
  • sono, you may not believe this, but I honestly have no idea where in the standings the Met's are I really am a nice person......just ask peachie or Jiff

Chickadee your more than just an "other" your the Chickadee!!!
    1. no 5K this year, the Walk from Obesity was cancelled in Atlanta, but I did walk in the Susan G. Breast Cancer Awarness 5K in May. I walked in honor of my friend Valarie who died in 03 from breast cancer.
    2. I'm well, active and I don't know about lovely
    3. The Rockies and the World Series...........what a loaded question I promise you.......if the Rockies and the %^%* Yankee's were ever in the series together, I will cheer for your Rockies.
Congrats  on your 50 pounds gone!!

Jiff, I'm sorry that the baseball post was my first post in such a long time. I promise to do better.

peachie, now you know that nothing, and I mean nothing, with pin stripes is allowed south of the Mason-Dixon line

Things have been going well for me. I'm not skinny by any stretch of the imagination, still weigh over 200 pounds, but it is a lot less than 360, so I'm happy about that. Not really anything new going on with me. My baby is at college for her Freshman year. She is doing well, and since she is doing well, so am I.

Jiff, how close are you to getting your plastic surgery?? And, how are you doing.

Miss peachie, you just had your one year post op anniversary didn't you? How are you doing?
  • I get to go see the Mariners and Oakland in two weeks. Right behind the plate. Then... the next day is the Washington Huskies vs UCLA. Great weekend get-a-way coming up for me.
