Learned Something New

  • So I was changing into pj's last night and happened to look in the hall to the mirror RIGHT outside the bathroom. And OMG I was NOT happy with what I saw!!!! I was all puffy and bloated and NOT good looking at ALL!!!! So I just came to the realisation I can NOT wait until after my BD to get back on track!!!! And looks like instead of regular tacos for my birthday it's going to be LC ones. I figure it'll be ok if I go OVER my carb count...as long as it's LC!!!! And no BD cake for me. Hmm....the pumkin bars are sounding good I've gained 4 pounds!! Yup, doesn't SOUND like a lot...but it's amazing how the mirror tells differently---AND my attitude w/myself!
    So LOW CARB is me (well, going to have the best of intentions anyway. I KNOW I'll slip up...but it's going to be ONLY a slip-up! NOT a WHOLE day/weekend of slipups!!!). It's off to post my food accountability!
  • Brenda - That was me the week before last! I had gained weight, felt crappy (although that includes the asthma) and all! Sometimes it takes a blast of reality... I know it did for me! You can do it!!
  • It seemed every time I slipped up...I'd figure 'well, there goes the weekend so might as well continue and start fresh on Monday' . What screwy thinking on my part! But it's time to look forward and work on getting back where I was a couple weeks ago!!
