What constitues a serving of pasta?

Trying to plan my meal tonight and do not want to blow it. This is my fist time to have pasta in a month or more. Just a general serving size would be great. Thanks

1/2 cup is a serving.

Well....I thought so too. BUT if you put it in a smaller bowl and have a salad too, it seems to suffice. Better than no pasta!
