  • Morning my fellow Vixens
The chili went over well sans garbanzos DH didn't want it all as a salad so we had a big salad (no dressing for me) some Tortillas with 1/2 cup shredded cheese melted on it the chili with 1 tbsp of sour cream and 1/8th cup of the cheese
So while it wasn't totally FF it wasn't as bad and still tasted good
BTW the packet was a mcCormick Texmex chili
and instead of plain diced tomatoes I used Mexican stewed tomatoes to give extra zip
So I got the cooking thin and loving food book
and I'm getting a 3fc journal to write down what I'm actually putting in mjy mouth so i can be more concious and not just try to do the spur of the moment decision making.
Question for our culinarily inclined chicks:
Can I put marinade with Frozen meat and pop it back in the freezer
I have a pack of pork chops and I want to do 2 teriyaki and 2 jerk pork chops but I only want to have to cook 2 is this poss or should I go eat worms?
    OH! on the interview front:
I have the rescheduled on Friday and I also ahve a new one on Thursday for an asst media buyer

  • Hi all,

we still have no tables to eat off of yet which is very annoying. Ah well hopefully today. I wore a pedometre on Monday and made 20000 steps yah! I was happy about that. Anyway, I am back at WW and have decided to commit myself to go through the challenge and beyond... Also due to my psychologiocal state I cannot put food into good or bad categories so points just seems the best thing for me and it worked before right?

Kierie: Hmmm, I usually use defrosted meat to marinade so I am not sure.. yah for interviews... I was just joib surfing this morning. I am getting fed up with my job so I am thinking of jumping ship which everyone tells me not too since I have a good job in a good place, I am just so unstimulated there and it's driving me crazy and making me not want to go there every day.

Anyhoo I am going for a run and then going over to my old place to clean and stuff.

    Cheers!

  • Mornings...
Good morning, ladies! It's almost 10 a.m. here in my time zone and I feel like it's 6 a.m. Since I returned from vacation, I've been SO tired. I overslept yesterday and today. It's a good thing my boss is out of town and that her stand-in is a nice guy.

Vacation was great. I fell in love with Wyoming and if I could find a job like the one I have here, I'd move in a heartbeat. Actually, I'll probably finish school first, so it won't be until 2010. Have I mentioned that to you guys? a couple of years ago, I'd toyed with the idea of going back to school, even applied at a college here in town and was accepted. That was all the further I went with it. This year, I decided to definitely do it. I'm all registered for two classes, have cleared it with my work, and I'm starting at the end of August as an Organizational Communication major with an emphasis in Business Management.

Eating on vacation wasn't the greatest. I had good intentions for about 2 hours into my trip. After that, it all went to pot. I didn't get to WI last week, so I was surprised that after eating more than I should have on vacation, I was down .8 at WI yesterday. Yay!

Kierie--You sound like quite the domestic goddess, with the chili and all. All Aaron ever gets at my house is food I can microwave. I'm sorry I can't help with the pork chop question, but if you want to know about microwaving, I can help.

I hope it's a busy thread today. I gotta go get some breakfast (now that it's almost lunchtime). See ya!
  • YEah I think I'm going to cook the whole package and freeze half
Woman you need tables b./c portable food can be dangerous! burgers fries chick nuggets
Thats so cool about the pedometer I want one!
  • lol jess the problem is i'm not domestic in ANY OTHER WAY!
I bet wyoming was great did you take PICS?
I'm so cheesy i'm listening to big hits of the 90s and getting nostalgic GAAAAAH! stop me!!
  • Morning!! I lurked a bit yesterday but didn't really have time to post. It's the first week all summer that our entire staff is here and no one has holidays so that's nice but we're all still meeting with each other and catching up on the things we did for each other over the past couple months. (my co-worker gets 6 weeks paid vacation a year and with the system problems we've been having she logged an additional 3 weeks of time off in lieu so she's trying to use up some of that time.) I've been pretty good these past couple of days. I made Chili on Monday night and took leftovers for Tuesday - chili is a great meal!! I had some put in my freezer too. Now I just have to remember it's in there some day. I slipped a bit yesterday with some cheezies and some ice cream but I had been to the dentist and it was all I could eat without lots of pain. Went to volleyball and worked up a good sweat so I'm thinking it should balance out...
Kier - it's a good idea to be careful when it comes to pork - it will be a quick dinner another day if you cook it now...
Ali - Congrats on getting back to meetings! You'll be back down in no time!!
Jess - glad you had such a great vacation. School sounds terrific!! I'm very happy for you!!

OK - Time to get more stuff done. I'll try to check back this afternoon and see what everyone else has been up to...
