What most people will tell you on the board is that you need to buy the book. If you buy the book and the Good Fats/Good Carbs guide it will clarify a lot of things. Knowing how the diet works is key to your success.

Glasses of water are counted as 8 oz. You need to drink at least 64 oz. of water a day but more is definitely ideal.

Salad dressing is counted by sugars/fat. You need to make sure the salad dressing has less than 3 grams of sugar in it. You also need to read the labels to check for trans fats. The book will define what you need to be looking for.

You can have a limited amount of Cool Whip Free because it does have the trans fats in it. The Peanut Butter Cup recipe is WONDERFUL!

I haven't found a ricotta cheese that's smooth yet but other people may have. You need to blend it well to make a better texture.

Welcome to the beach....hopefully that helps a bit!
  • About the water question: how many oz. are a glass of water? 8,10,12,16?

If I'm reading your question correctly then the answer would be that it depends on the size of the glass you are using. You can get platic cups at the grocery store and it will tell you on the package how many oz they are. Or use a measuring cup to see how much your glass holds.
  • thanks for the replies. I know the ozs depend on the size of glass, but what i want to know was in the book, are you to drink 8 8oz or 8 10oz or 8 16oz glasses, kissyjoy answered that question for me. I do know how to measure .
