College student in need of a buddy

  • Hi all! I'm 17 (though 18 very soon) and in desperate need of a buddy. I'm currently 5'6" and about 183 pounds. My weight has stayed fairly constant these past few years, but I've decided I really want to change my appearance and especially my habits. Ultimately I'd like to lose about 33 pounds and get down to 150. Right now that is my goal, as I haven't been that weight since.....well, I don't remember. Anyways, I'm entering my first year of college this fall and would like to get into a routine (who knows, maybe even avoid the freshman 15?). Anyone who would be interested in being a buddy and helping me stay encouraged would be great!

    hi i am 18 going on 19 real soon! I am 5'9 and weigh 200, i used to be heavier around 272, i need someone to buddy up with and an exercise buddy as well. I would like to lose around 35 more pounds, hope that we can buddy up. what kind of exercise do you do?
  • Well, being in like the desert of California, exercising takes determination...and needless to say, I'm still working on that. It gets so hot that I have to get up way early, like 5 AM to beat the heat. I just started, but a friend of mine and I are going to go biking and of course with our heat, we swim alot. So yea, this is all new to me, I just want to get myself accustomed to just getting out a breaking a good sweat I guess. Anyways, any tips you have would be great!
