Cabbage Lasagna

  • 1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium head of cabbage steamed and separated into leaves
    1 T. olive oil to fry hamburger in.
    2 gloves of garlic
    1 medium onion
    1bell pepper
    1 6oz. tomato paste
    1 8oz. tomato sauce
    1 t. oregano
    2 t. salt
    1 t. pepper
    1 cup mozzarella cheese (I used 2 cups)
    1/2 cup cottage cheese ( I used 1 cup)
    1/2 cup parmeasan cheese

    Steam cabbage until tender. Saute vegetables in oil and add beef, paste, sauce, along with seas. Then layer cabbage meat and cheese. Bake 350 for an hour and let rest 5 min. before cutting.
  • I am just wondering why the cabbage lasagne, when SB lets you have real whole wheat lasagne noodles, and you can have the real thing?
  • Because I don't want to have that many carbs. Those whole wheat noodles have a nasty texture.
