Ok, here's the scoop: I'm looking to find out how many tsp are in 1 pkg of splenda......I bought the box, and all the recipies seem to have pkg. measures.
I've tried making a few things, just by guestemating but they haven't turned out.
Would 20-25 pkgs be roughly 1 cup? 1/2 cup? Help?!?
I am not sure what to tell you. I do know the loose box measures different than the packets. Its lighter and fluffier. I think you will have to experiment.
Oh also, Sams carries both the packets and the loose form.
Thanks, Mals1 !! I'm up here in the boonies of Canada (Northern Alberta). I wasn't able to find the packets, just the loose boxes so far. We don't have Sam's here, Our Walmart just got a food section, perhaps I'll find it there.......
1 packet of splenda has the sweetness of 2 t sugar. The bulk bag of splenda has added fillers so you can measure it as if it was sugar.
So, I'm thinking that you would add 2 teaspoons of the bulk for each packet the recipe calls for. Does that make sense? Anyone else have an idea?
