phase 2 food cravings

  • hi guys! me again.
    well i started phase 2 today and all i did different was i added whole grain oats and fresh blueberries for breakfast, but i have been hungry all day all i wanna do is snack. not nessicarily on bad foods but i want even my good foods, but i have had all my meals for the day and i am still not satisfied i am have been going back and forth all nite on wether or not to just give into temptation and have a bowl of ice cream or suffer through this craving. (by the way i know i will not die with out it...lol). well if any one can share a simalar experience or give some advie i would love to here from you.

    BUT I think if I just go on to bed I will be alot better off, I had trouble on phase 2 the first time I started the WOE as well and I am a carb junkie so it made me really hungry as well, I think with this plan it is ok to eat until you are full so if you are really hungry grab something (legal) and maybe it will tied you over till your next bowl of oats in the morning... Good luck tonight and know I am rooting for you ....I am on day 3 of phase one again and it sure wouldve been easier to have just stuck to this plan the first time and by now I would be at goal, Have a good night
  • In the book Dr. A recommends us not to eat fruit for breakfast when starting phase 2. (even though the menu plans include fruit for breakfast *rolls eyes*) he says having sugar in the morning like that can increase cravings for the rest of the day. maybe try moving your fruits to lunch or dinner and see if that helps.
  • I have found that the mornings I eat eggs or egg beaters and some protein, I am alot less hungry than the mornings I have Uncle Sam cereal or whole wheat toast. The protein seems to "stick" with me longer.

    I am happy to report i made it through the night. I grabbed a bottle of water and flipped on oprah after the show and hopped on the tread mill last nite and in like 15 minutes i was ready for bed....lol, i decided too that i was going to add the blueberries to some sf,ff pudding tonite and see if that helps. I made oats again for breakfast and added a dab of real butter,splenda and a touch of pure vanilla and it was really good. see how that changes things today. well i am off to get ready for work so have a good carb day...lol.
  • Just to let you all know i made it through today as well, it helped a lot to put my fruit at the end of the day. I mixexed 1/4 cup of blueberries with 1/2 cup of ff/sf vanilla pudding and i felt great!! I acually got fulll from it. so hopefully i fixed my little problem. i will keep you posted on mt achievment. Now i only hope that i continue to lose wieght. i have like 110 lbs to go. have a great day!
