More Questions

  • Hi Everyone,

I've been on SB for a little bit now and doing great. By far the best "way of eating" I've ever tried. As I'm going on and trying to experiement with new dishes I've run into some questions. I'm gone online to find low-carb recipies and I'm not to sure about some of the ingredients. The two main ones I'm curious about are:
Heavy Cream (noted as a low carb staple item on one website..fat??)
    and Soy flour

    Any tips would be great!!
    Thanks
  • Welcome to The Beach!

Heavy cream is NOT allowed on SBD - that must have been an Atkins website.
Soy beans are allowed so I'd assume soy flour is OK.

Remember SBD is not really a low carb diet, it's a Good Carb plan so not all low carb recipes are appropriate. Check out our Recipe section which is growing daily.
  • Soy
Is soy flour ok? And if so is soy spaghetti ok to eat?
  • Sorry. I didn't notice this - it must have been during my sabbatical!
Yes, soy products are allowed. A serving of spaghetti is 1 cup - measured after cooking.
