Having a craving

  • I'm on Day 10 of P1. I've done well so far. Lost 4.2 pounds. Haven't really wanted any forbidden food. Until today. TOM is next week, so of course I've been having my normal cravings.

What makes matters more difficult is that I just discovered in the floor of my bosses office....peanut butter bon bons!!! I want to go in there and eat myself into a chocolate induced coma. I'm not going to, of course.

I think part of my problem today is boredom too. I'm the only one in the office and it's been pretty slow.

    Thanks for letting me vent!
  • Wait and go home and make that peanut butter dessert!!! 2 tablespoons of PB, 2 of Cool Whip Free or the like, and 1 chocolate sugar free popsicle. Deeeee-lish. It helped me all last week with TOM. And I am not a love of chocolate!!! Sugar free gum also helps me!
  • I don't have an cool whip or anything like it . Wonder if it'd be good with just the pb and the sf fudgesicle?
  • yup---yum
  • Definitely will try it tonight then. I can't wait!
  • Hey! What diet are you using and what are your limitations?Yak
  • Yakky, we are using the South Beach Diet. There are a lot of things to learn before doing it, but basically there is a two week super strict period (though you can have cheese!) and then you are allowed to eat good fats and good carbs. Check out the South Beach Diet books by Dr. Agatston for more info.

Amanda, I totally feel your pain...and thanks for giving me a reason for these megacravings I've been having! My tom started today (two days earlier than normal?) and I was having the worst cravings last night! Thank God I did not have anything in the house that was bad or I would have eaten it! I hope you are able to get through it with the same self control you've been showing!

Jenn, I'm chewing SF gum right now!
  • I have a tendency to swallow my gum,. so I go through a lot of it. Perhaps that's why I am stopped up!
  • I made the Peanut Butter Cup last night for dessert. It was good! Next time I'm going to use less peanut butter since I'm not a real big fan of it.

Again, I have to thank you guys for the encouragement. I don't think I could have come this far without it!
