game 7 Monday

  • Hey all,

Montreal goes to game seven tonight against Boston (Go Habs Go!!). Anyhoo, I am starting South Beach today... I was cutting up celery this morning and there were slugs in it... ewwwwww.... turned me off the celery for the day.

Anyhoo, I had a good weekend. I saw Stars on Ice on Saturday which was reallly good. I also saw some friends too. The Spa on Friday was really nice as well...

I went for Brunch yesterday... that will be the last of having crepes for the next little while.

    Come out and play!

  • Another sick baby niece
Hey guys....well, I Have more bad news (as if anything else could go wrong). My neice has been in ICU since friday. She turned blue. Talk about Carmen flashbacks. Of course, this makes my sister even worse. And, this sounds petty, but having to deal with my bro-in-law's b*&^h mom has been even worse. She wouldn't put the baby down and snarked off to my other sister re: being a neurotic mother. I'd like to slap her silly, if I could...Thank god she's not my mother-in-law.

Anyhoo, it's been a long and crapola weekend.

On the bright side, I did manage to journal and I even went for a run last night with b/f and our dog. So that was good. We watched "Kill Bill" and packed too, just to have some normalcy in our life. And, we have to pack, regardless. Just wish life weren't so hectic ALL THE TIME. Really girls, have you known anyone with such bad luck? There is a purtetual rain cloud over my head.

Genevieve is on oxygen now and is seeing a lung and GI specialist today. she is at the Children's hospital which is world reknowned, so that makes me feel better. And it's only a few blocks from my condo so I am v. close to them and they can come over for showers and food, etc. If we are very lucky, Genna can come home in the next few days on oxygen, which lots of babies do, like preemies usually do. But we have to wait and see.

Good GAme on Sat night - I was cheering for the flames, as it'd be nice to see us win SOMETHING again. But I went to bed after double OT. I am not a hockey fan cuz the flames usually bite. In Gr. 6 it was cool b/c they were really good and then we took the cup in 89 I think?

Anyway, have a good OP day, I"ll check in if I can!!

  • Belle: I am sorry about what is happening. I wish I could make it better. You hang in there.

    Take Care!

    Ali
  • Belle - I'm so sorry hon. I hope your luck starts getting better soon!

Ali - Hahaha well you are posting to a Bruins fan ... I'm hoping they are going to get their act back together and play tonight like they did in games 1 and 2!

I've been totally off for the past couple weeks. I was going to start today, and then I went and ate a bunch of stuff I'm working at home today and the kitchen was just calling.... but I'm going to work out this afternoon to hopefully counter it. I just hope tomorrow I am stronger at resisting than I was today!

  • This a fun thread because we've got one habs fan, one bruins fan and one flames "fan" and one Canucks fan - GO NUCKS GO!! I actually watched the game in a pub on Saturday and lots of people left by 3rd OT - it was late even for us on the west coast. Of course - mo scored the winner and that was great - My roommate and I went to highschool with him. I am also cheering for the Habs (it's a Canadian thing) it's nice to see the teams fighting so hard - should be some good games tonight. Yesterday I worked in the afternoon - it was the Dhali Lama who spoke on Universal Responsibility. Bishop Desmond Tutu introduced him. It was pretty cool - there were over 12 thousand people there - VERY crowded but it was a good talk (the part I saw) My niece is doing better (yay for Children's hospitals) she had a daypass yesterday and we're hoping she will be coming home next weekend. That's been 4 weeks in the hospital and they still don't really know why she was sick to begin with.
Belle - I hope your little niece is OK - It's nice that you guys are so close and can offer your shower and some food. Our hospital is about an hour drive so my SIL doesn't get home for showers at all. Keep us posted.
Jess - Glad to hear you're enjoying your new "you" - Yay on the not too much pain - are you on days again?
Ali - the spa wasn't amazing and divine!?! I was hoping to live through you and just enjoy your description...
Lori - you CAN resist - I'll send you resiting vibes<<<<<<resist>>>>>>> - have a fun workout!

Hello to anyone else out there. I'm the only one in my office at the end of this week so I have to be ahead on all of my stuff so I can keep on top of all of their stuff so I should get on it. I'll try to check back in later.
