THis is my first post. January 2003 I started Atkins and lost 40 lbs by June. I wanted to lose 10 more, but was still elated to maintain this loss for another four months. Halloween night was the beginning of the end. five months later I have gained half of my loss back and and can't seem to get back on track. Even though during the process it seemed easy, I thought I could do this forever, I can't seem to stay on program for more than a day and then every night when I start eating carbs, specifically sugar I start binging like I'll never EAT AGAIN! Last night I almost finished my kids easter baskets and Ate an entire sleeve of oreos. Help. Has anyone else successfully gotten back on program?
*****hugs******* I know just how that feels! The only thing I can say is that you have to be back into the right mindset again. Starting back over from Induction can help too, rather then just trying to go back into the OWL phase. Sorry, I wish I could be more help. Goodluck, I am sure you will get back on track soon!
Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. I agree with the mindset idea. You've got to WANT to start over and go the extra mile and start from induction to "retrain" on how to avoid the carbs. Good luck
I lost 30 and gained it back....I found that if I set out the entire days food, where i could easily get to it, then it helped...no more "standing in the refrigerator door" decision making....and I know this is a topic of debate, but I'd take advantage of all the low/no carb desert items out there- candy is my downfall, and so is grazing, so there have been days when thats about all I ate, until I felt satisfied.
