    Well good morning all, and thanks for all the notes of encouragement. Not alot going on here. Exercised yesterday. Plan to today. Just taking one day at a time.
    Didn't get the water in yesterday. We ran out of bottled water, and I really don't like the way our water tastes. Getting ready to go away this weekend with my cousins and there children, they do this every year at spring break, the moms take the kids to a hotel, and they swim and play golf, should be interesting since my boy is 2 and their kids are 8, but they play with him nicely.
    Also found out that the girls I go to Chicago with every year have deceided to take a 3 day cruise. I'm going.
    You would think that would be a great insentive. I need to get cruise pictures and plaster them all over the house, and bathing suits too. That might help more on the motivating. Although I really can't say I'm not motiveated in all aspects, just the exercise thing needs more of a push. I'm going to get there, and I really do appreciate all of your help. You have been very encouraging to hear from and to read your notes, It really does let me know how much everyone is the same, but yet so different. Take care and I'll be back

    Hope your mid-week is going well. My eating has been much better and it's amazing how much better the body...and mind feels when the eating is under control.

    Wendy, I know all about the exercise procrastination...but it does feel so much better once it is done. Getting off the 'butt' is the hardest part, but lots of time that is the 'biggest' problem. Keep up the better eating though.

    Eleni, Sorry you were so pooped out after your walk....but you will do fine Sat. Just go at your own pace and don't think you have to try to impress anyone with how fast you finish. Do not forget the water and make sure you drink it!! Getting dehydrated does not do any good in any shape or form...and will tire you out quicker than anything. Enjoy that walk.

    Penny, glad to hear that you really kept to your healthier style by not eating many of those chips!! That's a huge accomplishment!! One of my biggest problems is once I start eating something like that, I have a hard time stopping. I don't dare buy chips and luckily no one in the family cares! Keep up the great work.

    Christie, glad to see my fellow KOPS is staying within the leeway or undergoal. It is hard to maintain but you are doing well and my hat is off to you!!! Are you going to SRD and did you reach goal before the end of the year to graduate there?

    Marie, what have you done for your weight loss since you appear to have lost quite abit? Great going!!!

    Sherri, how's the 'working woman' doing? Don't let yourself get too tired....cause we all know what happens then!!!! Are the points staying in range?

    Well, I hope everyones day goes great and the snow stays away from those of us that are still susceptible. Keep the water handy .... it DOES HELP!!!!!

  • Hi all,Did pretty good so far.I am fixing my walking tape now.I keep having to add to it.But it is only way I can do the walking.I highly recommend it to anyone.Buy yourself a cassette player and make you own tape geared to your walking ability.It is what gets me to not quit.
    Someone asked about the ad-doer.It is great.Worth every penny I paid for it.If you get Home shopping station,it has been on there cheaper than what I paid and with all three tapes.I am hoping my husband and I don't wear it out.
    My truck is a F-150 club cab.
    Someone said something about not getting their water in.I know how good it is for you but I can not do it.I have tried ,tried and tried again.Some people just can not drink it and I am one.I am not going to beat up on myself because I hate water.
    Gotta go .It is almost time to begin the torture walk.
  • My walk was not good.I had my grand-daughter and she did not do as good as usual.I gave up after 2 laps and brought us both home.I have been extra tired the last few days.Tomorrow is a new day
  • Hi Guys!!
    Well today was an adventure to say the least...... Had to take my 4 year old in for some tests and she has a terrible sinus infection, Bless her heart, she has been so sick for a month now, they wanted to put her in and hook her up to IVs but they didnt, I have to go back Tuesday and they will see from there where to go next, Please say a prayer for her..... she is just so pale and she just coughs So much at night. On a different note I did do good on the eating plan today...... I guess we will see how good or bad of choices I made at weigh in tomorow if I get to go, since she has been sick I have missed 3 meetings... I just cant leave her when she needs me so much.

    Summer- Thanks for the encouragement... Staying at Kops status is one of the hardest things I have ever done, I didnt graduate in time to get to graduate at SRD but I am going anyway, I hope it is fun cause it will be my first one.
    Wendy- Great job on getting in the exercise today, I have trouble doing it regularly like I should but as you said, One day at a time ... That is the best attitude to have in this battle
    Eleni- Sorry you didnt get to go on all your walk, But even a little is better than none, You just enjoy those grandbabys, They grow up way too fast!!
    Sherri- Hope you had a good day today, You keep up the great work, Your getting closer and closer.........
    Penny- I know exactally how you feel about having to pack up just to go to the grocery store, I mean it is like an overnite trip sometimes with all the baby stuff we have to carry just to go somewhere lol, I even added insult to injury and started babysitting a 10 month old so I am really asking for it now ...........

    I have done great all week. No junk food at all so that is good. But today was another story. I have stayed low in pts all week except for yesterday and then I still had 1/2 pt to spare so at least I didn't go over.

    Today I had to go to a tradeshow with my boss and it was an all day occasion. We had lunch down there. I did use mustard on my sandwich and I had 1 pc of skinless boneless chicken and some pasta with sauce and broccoli. Then for dinner I hadn't taken anything out so we ordered out and I got a slice of pizza and a chef salad then had a bowl of cereal. So no I didn't do good today. But I did realize that I was so hungry because I hadn't had my water (which I am drinking now) that is how I made it through last night without eating. I said sherri you are not hungry you are tired and thirsty. It did make a difference. The scale was down this morning but I am sure it is back up again after what I had to eat today. But tomorrow is a new day. My exercising isn't good either. I have to do better with that next week. I am going to exercise tomorrow and that will give me 3 days of exercise this week. I have 1 1/2 hours in so far this week plus a walk that we took about 1/2 mile. So at least I had some exercise. Today I was literally on my feet all day. I am not used to that and my legs are tired tonight.
    Overall I am doing well I think. My eating isn't way out of control like it was.

    That is okay that you only did 2 laps it is better than none. And you know what is going to be the most important thing to you on saturday. Is that you crossed the finish line. It doesn't matter how fast you go. It is a great accomplishment to show up and do the walk at all. You have been trying so hard I give you a lot of credit for that. You should be proud of yourself also. About the water even though you hate it you should try and get some into your system. Have you tried putting a lemon in it to give it some flavor? Maybe you will like it that way. I don't know just a suggestion.

    Hey woman I hear you and christie about not being able to spend time with your husband alone. I never get time with my husband alone. When I try and lay on the couch with him and my daughter comes into the room she has a fit and says my spot and tries pulling me out so she can be next to her daddy. She hates it when I want to be close to him. So that makes it real hard to have any time alone. I wish we would have a date night. He said we don't need it. I say we do.LOL But that is a man for you. Right?

    I will say a prayer for your daughter. Sorry to hear that she is so sick. I hope for the best on tuesday. I hope she won't have to go to the hospital before then. That is great with everything that has been going on that you have stayed on plan. Way to goal for you. You are doing great. You will be at goal this week. Don't worry about missing the meetings your daughters health is more important right now. And you are still staying on plan. I am sure if you could weigh in this week you would be at goal again. That takes a lot of hard work and you are doing what needs to be done. Keep up the great work.

    Glad to see that you are back posting. I missed you while you were away. I am sure being back here is helping you stay on track also. It is good to see that you are back on track and doing well. I am going to do better with my exercise this coming week also. I had 2 days the past 2 days that I had to have an early start so that screwed up my routine in the morning for exerciseing. But next week will be better. I only have 1 day next week that I won't have time to exercise. That will be on tuesday.

    You are doing great. Keep up the great work. Just keep in mind your cruise. I did what you suggested last year. I got a picture off the internet of a woman in a bikini (not real skinny) but normal size and plastered that picture all over my house. I got a lot of comments when people came in. I put a heading on it. It said sherri stop eating so you can look like this. It really did help for awile to actually read this everyday and visualize your goal. It was worth people laughing about it. It worked for me. They are down now. When I went on my honeymoon last july the girl that was taking care of my daughter took down all the pictures. She couldn't stand looking at them for 2 weeks.LOL
