Searching for my post

  • How can one tell if a post has been entirely deleted? I posted a topic a few weeks ago and it seems to have disappeared completely. I tried doing a search and the last person to post showed up but I can't seem to find the whole topic anywhere--even if I go back and look 2 months in the past. There was nothing offensive about the post, however 1 or 2 people did post petty, negative things. Would that constitute having a post deleted entirely? Just curious.

  • Do a search under your OWN name and see if it comes up.

    Maybe that will work?

  • Hi I don't recall any specific threads that we've deleted. But if it contained more negative replies than positive, and didnt look like it was going to get any better, or if we received a lot of complaints about it, then it could have been removed.

However, I recently pruned back the forum of any posts older than a few weeks, so that is likely what happened to your post. We have to prune every now and then to keep the forum at a managable size. This script is known to go belly up when it hits a certain point
  • Thanks, Suzanne.

There were only 2 replies that were slighly negative against 2 other members. The rest were all positive and just basic answers to the question that I had asked originally. There was nothing really bad said, just unnecessary. It's funny how one post can ruin a whole thread and get totally off of what the original topic was meant to be about.

    Anyways, thanks for your reply.
