New

  • Hi

I just joined this site. I kinda started WW at the start of this year but didn't really stick to it because I was on holiday, then switched to South Beach about three weeks ago but still using WW points to work out portion sizes.

I did phase one and found it easy through the week but really hard in the weekend. It was okay at home but difficult when out socialising so I am sort of doing a 1.5 stage atm. The only thing I have really added is low-fat artificially sweetened fruit yogurt through the week (11% carbo and less that 1% fat) and if I have the odd carbo in the weekend when I am out and there is no other options I don't worry about it too much. I figure better to eat a slice of bread than starve and binge later. Also I found some 95% fat free sausages that I eat for breakfast sometimes because I am tired of eggs.

What I am finding is the weight is dropping off through the week (almost one pound a day) when I can stick to it, but just one slice of bread is enough to stop any weight loss for the day and any more than that I seem to gain a couple of pounds that day. It makes me wonder if I will be able to add any carbos at all and still lose weight. Is anyone else finding this? I have read a few posts where people are doing a sorta 1.5 stage plan.
  • Hey Chick on the beach WELCOME! I have no idea about the bread as i have not had it yet. I have been on phase1 for about 5 weeks. I don't know when I'll venture on to phase 2. But just knowing if I want it I can have it is good enough for me right now. I'm sure there will be someone that knows more about it come along! I just wanted to say welcome!
