Kemp: How's school going? We're getting the same YUCKY weather as you and Cathy

This week I finally took action-I'm seeing a therapist next Thursday. Hopefully I'll be able to get some counselling and medication. I've been putting this off for too long. I also started a food plan. I haven't been perfect, but I'm doing better.

Hi everyone.....so far....am having a lazy day. I have had a bad sore throat for 2 days.....this is the 3rd time this winter that I have had this....since Christmas....along with a cold....DH also has it.

It was snowing earlier....but it has stopped now....DH & I might go to a matinee....depending how we feel.

Homebound.....good for you about getting a therapist & maybe going on medication.

Joanne, congratulations on your steps to becoming healthy, mentally and physically. You and your family deserve it so. DD of mine is hanging in there, she is better today but now Mom has the nasty cold and boy am I cranky. Atkins is working out well, but I cheated yesterday lol. I was going to start Induction on Lent (ash wednesday) but I changed my mind, I'm going to start tomorrow why wait lol. But I'm going to be good and not cheat until easter sunday. What diet plan are you following ?

Today DH bought me an exercise bike, a wallet, 3 DVDs, a nightgown, some panties (my others are to big), a stuffed dog, and a white rose for Valentines Day.I got him a DVD, a shirt, a pair of black jeans, underwear, a belt, and a toolbox.

I am happy that I have such a great husband.

Well I started Induction today

Watcha all doing today, I'm gonna finish laundry, some cleaning and I'm going to the grocery store to pick up some veggies.

HAA I'm looking at my DD and she is eating a dog biscuit.... think I better get her breakfast eh~ Why do kids love dog biscuits ? lololol. Poor dog is looking at me like help.

hi everyone... life is busy.. my mom had 3rd hip replacement on sane hip in nov...she wwas with my sis and her hub from then til now... in bc.. she flies here on friday to stay with us until she is cleared to be on her own... could be a few weeks to a few months.... i broke my right hand .. an r-handed.. on thurs night... own fault.. was rushing.. backhanded edge of car door unloading groceries.. doc said would have been worse if i hadn't had mitts on... and yesterday daughter's shoulder got reinjured in gold/silver medal match in prov judo.. so we are both walking wounded

was trying to get last edit of thesis in for next week to advisor, not sure I can now.. been a lot of tears here this week.. love my mom, but it's a trial with her here... subtly a very critical person.. plus thesis.. supposed to defend it in april, grad in may.. now this hand... kinda hard to stay positive at times

still am lurking lots... hope all are well for everyone

Hey Judomom, gee when it rains huh~ Sorry about Mom, your daughter and your hand, ick thats gotta be horrible. You just take it easy (as much as you can) and come play here with us when you can. We understand. My prayers are with you and your family.

yeaaaaaa Leenie started induction! we can do it together! are you gonna post your food today, so I can see what you are eating? I'm always looking for good ideas ya know! wonder how many carbs are in a dog biscuit?

Joanne, I'm so glad you decided to go to counseling and see about meds also. Sometimes we just have to do those things to get better. If you were dealing with sugar diabetes or some other illness you wouldn't think anything of going to the doc and taking meds, and a chemical imbalance is no different! I do not know if my son would still be alive today had it not been for prayer and counseling and meds, but I am here to tell you that he is doing MIRACLEOUSLY WELL! He is definitely a miracle in progress! I read somewhere (don't remember where) that sometimes even miracles take some work. And I would add - take some time. Please let us know how you are doing. I will keep you in my prayers!

Cin - BOO! hey? when we gonna make a date to meet in chat? I miss ya girlie?

Judomom - I would be crying too if someone was on their way to spend weeks or months with me. goodness, it's hard to have other people stay in your house. You must have really hit that door hard to break your hand! goodness girlie - I know you are feeling overwhelmed, but try to take a deep breathe and take it one day, one moment at a time, and hang in there! I wish I could give you a great big hug!

Today we're having all sort of Marriage Enrichment things at church. It was really good this morning! For the youth and college and singles they had a session called "Too Close Too Soon" and it was good, and then during church service a very good sermon on marriage and family. We are going back tonight for 2 sessions called "Tightening the Knot" about the differences btwn men and women. It should be good and I'm looking forward to it.

The sun is shining today and boy am I GLAD! We need about 2 weeks of sunshine just to dry up the lakes in everyone's yards. Come on sunshine!!!!
