Ooooooops....I did it! I messed up...

  • Good morning everyone! Since starting my week 2 of phase 1 I officially "messed up" yesterday.
Eveything was fine until I reached work where they had a "Broker breakfast" and they bought some Argentinian Empanadas. I was not even thinking of going near them but 3:30 rolled around and I was so busy I had not eaten all day (except my protein shake) and I was starving! so I ate two empanadas one that was filled with just spinach and the other with meat..oh they were so good...then I figured OK I am going to forget about this and be good at dinner. So my boyfriend and I head over for Ceviche and everything is fine until they bring these spicy boiled potatoes and oh my god I had some of those so I said ok no main entree for me but his fried chicken chunks lookes so good I had two pieces of that and to top it off I shared a slice of flan with him!!!!!!!!!!!and to top it off even more we went home and drank Rum and cokes!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

Has this happened to anyone??? The good news is that this morning I had not gained anything and I went right back to my eating plan.

I just had to vent!!!!!!!!! I cant vent with my boyfriend because first he doesnt want me to lose any more than 10 pounds (yeah right) and second he just looks at me like I am crazy!
  • Everyone messes up whether intentional or not. Don't beat yourself up over it, just move on! It could have been so much worse.....
  • mistakes are natural, as the anusara yoga teacher say " if you fall in a yoga pose, get up and try again." get up and try again, the imperfection of humans give us a chance to try again! You can do it !
  • Hi Claudia,

I screwed up this weekend too Ate pasta saturday night including a piece of bread dipped in olive oil and had a large almond cookie this afternoon. My husband thinks I am crazy as well. He is not on SB with me so I have to make sure he has his fill of carbs...bread, potatoes, pasta and even pies laying around the kitchen. It is very hard to stay focused but I am really committed this time. Fortuately I only have 15 lbs to lose and have dropped 10 since mid November. It seems the less you have to lose the longer it takes. I'm lucky if I lose a 1/2 lb a week sometimes. So give yourself a break and start fresh tomorrow.

  • Talk about messed up. OOOHHHHH!!!! Superbowl Sunday and I royally messed up had very cold Beer --Corona's with lemon and salt, chips and dip, chicken wings, more chip and dip guacamole, salsa....had it all back to Phase one for me for a week and that should cure that mess up. I'm going to be stronger next time. I've lost 11.5 pounds in 3 weeks so I feel real good about myself and know I can do this. Hang in there.
  • This weekend was NOT good for me either. Saturday night, my husband offers to take me out to the Olive Garden!! He NEVER does that! I just couldn't say NO! Then of course, the SuperBowl..... I had one 20 oz. coke, about 8 buffalo wings with bleu cheese, TONS of 8 layer dip, cheesy sausage dip and tortilla chips. Oh and lets not forget the "dirt cake" with the crushed oreos and yummy pudding in a plant pot. So uncool. I haven't even weighed myself. I just know I'm back where I started 2 weeks ago. ARRGGH! But, its a new day! I'm going to put it behind me and be extra good from now on!!
