I wanted to make my own ranch dressing last night, but all the packages have MSG in them, which is a no-no. I found some recipes that might make a good batch. I haven't tried any of them, but when I do, I'll report back to tell you if they were good.



HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH DRESSING
2 tsp. minced onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
1 c. LF buttermilk or sour cream
1 c. mayonnaise


Mix and refrigerate.

MOCK HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH DRESSING
1 tsp. chopped parsley
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. onion salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. chopped onion, dried
1 pt. mayonnaise
1 pt. LF buttermilk
Mix well and refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
Makes 1 quart.

HOMEMADE HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH DRESSING
1 c. mayo
1 c. LF buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. parsley flakes
Mix well and store in refrigerator.
