I'm starting SBD, but I have no money to purchase the book. I visited there website, but they won't go into detail on what are acceptable foods and how much of them you can eat unless you pay $29.99 ( I don't have a credit card). So can anyone give me the basic rules for phase one including foods, portions, etc.

Hey Sammy I bought my book at Sam's for 14.28 so I'm sure Wal-Mart would have it for about the same price if your not a club member. So maybe when you get the extra funds you can pick you up one. All the info in the book just about is somewhere on this site but I just like having the book as well. Good luck and stay in it.

Yes, I agree that the book is important to have. It really does explain a lot about the diet that you might not understand otherwise. Buying the book when you are able to will be very helpful!
