I just reread this and I am such a dork! Oh well, that's me!

  • Christy, I LOVED the Harriet the Spy books! I've still got them.
When I was a kid, my best friend and I were "spies", and we had spy kits (old lunch boxes) containing all kinds of things... a mini camera, fingerprinting equip, a magnifying glass. What a hoot.
And I must say, Barbies are a close second for me, too. My sister and I "played" with them well into our teens. We designed FABULOUS houses for them in the barn with bricks and boards and fabric...
Oh, and did I mention I have the entire collection of Nancy Drew books? And most of the Hardy Boys and Bobbsey Twins, etc. I read them when I'm miserable/depressed. Last night I read a new Hardy Boy book.

I love this thread! (I'm nosy, too, Christy!)
  • Oh Bookworm Christy! My husband and I battle it out we have scores up over the million mark, my eyes hurt from playing it!

    Miss Chris
  • ellis -- I think I was a teenager before I stopped playing Barbies, too! I have two younger sisters who played with me. I'd set up these elaborate houses and they'd show up to "spend the night" with my Barbies so they wouldn't have to fix their houses. When I got tired of playing, some horrible natural disaster (tornado, hurricane) would strike Barbie's home and we'd have to clean up. Hmmm...sounds like something that may lead to therapy later on.

Chris -- Over a MILLION on Bookworm?!?! Nu-UHHH! I bow to the master... Here I thought I was a brainiac when I made it over 100,000. (Christy slinks away to lick her wounds and question her intelligence...)
