BOB and all — I really hope you don't mind me jumping in here since I haven’t had WLS …
I just HAD to read a thread with the title
Anyone Else Need A Fluffy Butt Kicking????? and I was moved by your story, BOB. My stats are similar to yours — I’ve lost 122 pounds — so I kept seeing myself in what you wrote. When I read it, I realized that
we are all sisters in this weight loss battle. It doesn’t really matter how we get the weight off — WLS, diet and exercise, the Thin Fairy

. The important thing is that once it’s off, we’re all fighting the same fight — keeping it off for life. WLS or not, it’s all the same issues. We’re all struggling with those same food demons

— we’re never cured.
I hope that you can gather the strength to do it again, BOB, whether through WLS or not. There’s tons of support now that wasn’t there for you before. I know for myself, I never could have lost and kept off the weight without the support here at 3FC.
We’ve started a Maintainers Forum here (though 98% was lost in the Great Crash) for anyone who’s getting near their weight loss goal or even just thinking about life after goal and who plans to keep it off for life. As so many of us have learned, losing weight isn’t the hard part — it’s keeping it off that’s the fight. Jiffy’s joined in with some great posts and anyone else, please come and join in!
Thanks for sharing, BOB!
