Hi Daisy

I have been on SB since July 2003. I am 48 yrs old, 5'3" and started at 140# , only 15# from my goal , and I'm going through menopause. So, I know that it will take longer for me to lose the weight than it will for a younger person.
I beleive that I lost 6-7 pounds the first 2 weeks, and a total of 13 pounds over a few months. This was without any exercise. (#127~ a few pounds from my goal weight of 125). I maintained this weight for several months and then started creeping up again because I was cheating. Recently, the Halloween candy didn't help either.
So, I am restarting SB on a "mostly" Phase 1 plan WITH adding some exercise .
Not only is this a wonderful way of eating (WOE) for weight loss but it is very heart healthy. Being a cardiac nurse, I find this WOE not only healthy for me but for my patients. So, I often share this with them .Women, obesity and diabetes are a deadly combo and we need to be looking out for ourselves.
Good luck.
