I would like some info please

  • Hello to everyone, this is my first post but not my first time reading these wonderful message boards. I have heard alot about this diet and would like to try it. Problem is I have spent so much money on WW that I just can't afford to purchase anything else so I was wondering if someone could be so kind as to fill me in a little on this program as to who much of the foods you are allowed with for phase 1. Do you have to weigh and measure or count calories or what??? I hope this question is allowed here and if not I am sorry for posting, just hoping for some insight into the SB diet. Thanks in advance.

  • Hey M. There are a couple of wonderful sticky notes at the top of this forum that explains the Phase I and Phase 2 allowed foods. Also, I found a lot of info on the Southbeach diet official website. I am using all of this info to do my own starting on Monday. A lot of the other sites that I found are just advertising gimmicks. There is no measuring, weighing, counting calories, etc. You just eat until you are full. (Within reason- I wouldn't advise eating a whole pig or anything! LOL) Good luck!
  • Kayecee,
I have come across a lot of info over the last couple days and the ladies on this message board have been more then helpful with answering all my questions. I too am starting it on Monday without the book because I think I have found out all there is to know and I just bought an ebook from ebay with all the details and 1000 of recipes so this should be all I need, well all besides the support from all you wonderful people here. Thanks and best of luck to you too. Let me know how you are doing.

  • I would very strongly recommend getting the book. It gives a lot of background information that could be very helpful in understanding how it works, and it is also a very handy reference guide when you are shopping or cooking and aren't near your computer.

You might see some tidbits you wouldn't have otherwise read, which could mean a more successful weight loss!
  • Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for the advice, I actually just bought an ebook from ebay with lots of interesting things, some of which I found on the different message boards and some I haven't so it is good advice.
    Regards,
