Candy Kane at the Beach DAILY Friday

  • Good Morning ,

    My name is Candy Kane and I am here to tempt you with all my friends............see picture above.

    Halloween is around the corner and the stores are filled to the rafters with all my buddies.... Snickers, Milky Way, Hershey to name a few.

    They are a sweet treat filled with gooey insides and waiting for you to bring them home.

    Oh, THANK YOU. They love your home as I have been told.

    Snickers doesn't like the cold so PLEASE don't put him in the refridgerator.

    I heard that one of you ripped into Hershey's bag and he and his friends flew about EVERYWHERE! At least you picked them all up and them held them lovingly.

    Milky W says that some of you hid them where they would be safe from others...how kind of you.

    The Twix Brothers were a tad upset that you put them in with the cookies! They may look like a cookie, but they want to be with The Whoppers and their neighbors Fudge and M&M.

    We really like the Ghost Bowl that you bought to put all of us in. We do make a lovely decoration for your table. And some of you have decorations around us. We feel so honored.

    Please feel free to share, but really, didn't you buy them all for yourself!

    Manga as my Praline friend likes to say and Bon Appetite from Truffles.

    I have to leave as I am told that Marcie has a mixed bag of chocolate and is having a "time" with her new friends.

    Enjoy your new friends.

    Candy Kane

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    I got a spooky basket filled with 3 dozen minature candy bars from a cat named Ruth. She came to mom's Hallowen Party.
    Oops, PLEASE excuse me. Someone is at my door.
    Marcie, your friends all told me about a certain PARTY and I heard that some of MY friends showed up!
    Who ARE you.
    I am sorry, I was SO upset I forgot.
    I am Candy, Candy Kane.
    And what do you want?
    I heard that you are enjoying visiting with some of my friends.
    And who may they be?
    Hershey, Baby Ruth, Snickers, Butterfinger and some of their friends and neighbors.
    THEM!
    Yes, aren't they a bunch of sweets?
    Yes, they are. I have them ALL in a sack by my bed.
    I even took Rolo out and ate him, well chewed him.
    Ohh wasn't he good?
    Well, I said I chewed HIM, then spit him in the trash can.
    WHAT, NO NO NO! Say you didn't.
    YES, I DID and I went to bed thinking about the joy of eating all of your friends and saying the heck with my decision to eat healthy and that it is HALLOWEEN and it only comes once a year.
    Oh GOOD, I thought that you were going to do something DRASTIC!
    MS. Kane, I AM!
    I have made the decision to give the candy to my mom...she eats 2 a day. And they will last her till Halloween and then some.
    And Ms Kane, I am going to ask YOU to leave and NEVER come back.
    I once adored you, but now you are only a temptation. A trmptation that I can't control.
    So, GOOD-BYE and Good Luck.
    And PLEASE
    STAY AWAY FROM MY BEACH BEAUTIES TOO!
    Mom, look what I have for you.
    Marcie
    A true story
  • Grandma Marcie-You are one strong chick! To actually chew up a Rolo then spit it out! Wow! I have to make sure we only buy stuff I don't like...and hopefully DS will hoard all his Trick or Treat loot and maybe hide it away. In the mood I am in it is going to be quite a trick to not have a treat! Or 2!
    Have a great day on the Beach, chicksters!
  • what a way to start a friday mornin ... that candy looks awfully good, but no thank you Gee now I feel better. Let me go get some tea and relax some before I have to type up a test.
    Have a good day!
  • I took one look at that picture, Marcie, ate the remainder of last night's chocolate bar, and went out and bought some pistachios.
  • Drool! I may delete that picture, Marcie!
  • That looks great....however I just got a headache looking at it!!! My sugar problem actually deters me from eating candy....now if I could get the same reaction to french bread I would be golden.....
  • That photo needs a great big T (for temptation) right in the middle, so every time we look we'll have that reminder. Loved your story, and know chewing and spitting out is a major happening.:
    The last time I succumbed to Mr. Snickers allure, I ate the whole thing, and then felt yucky and wondered why I did it. I didn't have your 'moxie'. So now I just look and walk right by. Reminds me of the gal on DR. Phil who loves Dorritos and told when she was in the store, she picked up a bag and just held it close, before she put it back on the shelf.
    Have a great beach day all. Lizzie
  • Hey There
    I can't decide if our friend with the candy is trying to build up our resistance or sandbag us. This is a hard month for most of us. I thought about just handing out apples . I usually end up eating the candy. Last year my daughter got it for her classroom treats. At least most of it that is. My hubby has a terrible sweet tooth. After a quad-bi-pass he doesn't need it either.
    Another 1 1/2 lbs down this week. 5 weeks in a row with a loss.. It is slow for me,but, I'll take it..
    I am slipping into some fruit but very slowly..I am afraid of starting any carbs.. They have always been my downfall.
    Hope everyone has a Great Weekend..........Joanne
  • I'm going to have to make sure to get only the fruity candy for Halloween, it doesn't tempt me like chocolate does. That PICTURE, it made me almost drool! With other things, like garlic bread, I'll just smell it for a minute and then I feel like I at least got SOME enjoyment out of it. But chocolate, unfortunately, doesn't have much of a scent, and the only way to experience it is to stick it in my mouth. My #1 weakness!
  • Hey There
    I know what you mean about Chocolate- I see it ,I want it..I mentioned to my hubby my idea about getting apples. You would have thought I had cut off his arm.I can see I am in for trouble on Halloween.
    Have a great weekend everybody...Joanne
