Ok, I have a little thread idea for today. Can everyone post ten things about themselves? They can be as deep or as shallow, as thought-out or as random as you want, just as long as there is a list of ten things about you:

1. I have the most wonderful family!!
2. I really try hard to drive all negativity from my life, be it situations, attitudes that I harbor, people...I just need it gone if I am going to be a happy person!
3. I am a preschool and kindergarten teacher and love it, couldn't imagine doing anything else.
4. My favorite kind of pizza is the kind when they put all the meats and all of the veggies on...just piled high with junk junk junk. Then I sprinkle a thick layer of those red peppers and a ton of cheese on. MMMMmmmm...of course, one piece does it for you with all that meat and cheese!
5. I was diagnosed as an adult with attention defecit disorder and took Ritalin for a few years, until I was ready to start having children. This sure explained why I tried my hardest as a child to be good and live up to everyone's expectations, but I was always in trouble in spite of myself. That also explains why I have to stay very very organized now -- the littlest bit of disorganization absolutely stumps me -- I kind of get immobilized.
6. My son has a fetish for hats and glasses. He walks around the house in my ski hat and a pair of plastic reading glass frames that my mom gave him. He doesn't like to leave the house unless he's wearing a hat and some sort of glasses -- I try hard to talk him into sunglasses.
7. I have a dog, who is seriously wacko, and two cats who are halfway between neurotic and normal.
8. My mom is a veternarian, and my dad is a pastor -- they're an odd combo.
9. I have a sister who is a licensed psychologist, but never got a job, as she has stayed home to raise her kiddos. So she's never practiced on anyone but ME (God help me!)
10. I still re-read all of my favorite childhood books, like Ramona, Anne, Emily, Fudge, etc. on a regular basis.

Touched up the paint at the house last night. Figured it was easier to do with barely any furniture. I can't wait until CB is officially moved in!!!!!

This morning I did a toning video but modified it with weights instead of of a band and then did 20 min of yoga.

I know you are all WW goddesses and probably know this trick but I just discovered it. If you crave chocolate and like oatmeal, try this - 1/2 plain quaker oats with 1 pkg swiss miss diet hot chocolate & hot water to your liking. Deliciously chocolately oatmeal.

I have a major success to report. Yesterday, I had to stuff a bazillion grab bags for employees with mini-candy bars.....I did not eat a single one. Go me!

As your exercise ****, I demand to know....when was your last work-out and what did you do?

1.I have been married since May 25, 2002 and I met my husband on the internet.

2.I was diagnosed with a depression disorder at age 16.I still have it.

3.I am very close to my mom, dad and brother.

4. I love dogs.Not just one in particular all of them.No matter how mean they are dogs seem to like me too.I hope to have a big farm someday and raise and breed dogs. My favorite dog is called an Affenpinscher

5.I have a fear of heights, spiders and snakes and fire.I can't go into a building and go above the the 3 rd or 4th floor.

6.I love poetry.I write poetry and I have been publsihed twice.I don't just focus on one thing.I write about everything.

7. Breakfast food is my weakness.I love Blueberry pancakes.If I could eat breakfast food all day without getting bored with it I would.

8.I have two beautiful goddaughters; that I love very much as if they were my own.One is two and the other is going to be 9 in Feb.

9. I love bike riding but I don't have a bike anymore.I taught myself how to ride on tenspeed with no training wheels.

10. I was born in the fall; so obviously I love the season.I love the leaves changing colors.I like it when its not to hot and its not to cold.I am just a nature person in general.

WTG Laura.. I know it felt good not to do eat a single one.

Oh Jayne! What a wonderful game - I'll play.

1. I'm bored at my job (thus many posts) but it suits my personality (imho & apptitude tests) so I stay.

2. I'm a voracious reader - I even read while walking to my desk in the morning and if the book is good (gasp) at stoplights.

3. One of my favorite things in the world is when my sister sends me pictues that she says my niece drew for "Aunt Laura" or when she dials my machine while I'm at work and has my niece leave me a message.

4. I have a serious Diet Coke addiction and firmly believe that the best diet cokes come from McDonalds.

5. The reason I like yoga isn't so much for the toning or flexibility benefits. I just think the poses when done without modifications are beautiful and I keep hoping that if I practice long enough, someday my body in those poses will be just as graceful.

6. I illegally use a local library. The library system I use isn't in the county I live in - I neglected to notify them of my change in address because then I'd have to use the world's crappiest library ever. Also, I once got kicked out of a library for the same reason. Darn taxes!

7. I'm the first person in my maternal family to graduate from college without a degree in teaching. My mom, all her sisters and her parents were all teachers. So was my dad, my stepdad and now a SIL.

8. I am looking forward to living in sin with my boyfriend!!!!!!!!!!!!

9. I went to the prom with my brother. (I have a family bush not a family tree).

10. I'm breaking the dress code today!

Your reading habits sound like mine -- I think I am addicted to reading...we should start a support group!

Lynnie, I loved rinding out those things about you...it makes me feel like i know you much better now. Aren't godchildren the best? Mine is sixteen and learning to drive -- stay off the sidewalks!!!

Hmmm 10 things about me.

1. My memory is almost perfect.. I remember details like crazy especially if it's a special moment (my boyfriend makes fun of the fact I can remember what each of us were wearing on our first few dates). I can be a walking encyclopedia as well.

2. I have an amazing family who I love.

3. Assymetrical clothing drives me nuts... I love symmetry...

4. I admit, I talk and think about my relationship too much sometimes.

5. when I lost weight, I lost my shyness.

6. I buy red peppers all the time, even though they're really expensive.

7. I want to be a lawyer, but am the most laid back agreeable person you could meet... Sounds like a paradox, but I want to become a lawyer to reduce conflicts and help people.

8. I have days where I feel insecure, and others where I have all the confidence in the world.

9. I am listening to Dido's new CD right now.

10. I can appear really ditzy, but overall I know I am really smart!

Jayne: I think I also may also have ADD... My brother was researching it and then realized I fit the female model of it completely... Never been tested though.

Laura: I am also a diet coke addict... I think it's the cups at McDonalds. I didn't know about the hot chocolate oat meal thing... sounds yummy. Oh I forgot to mention, my gym now offers Bellydancing, so I think I'll try that on Friday!

Lynnie: I love biking too... maybe you could buy one in the Spring or next summer with all the end of season sales.

Oh Ali -- Drew just left this am for a business trip in Ottawa -- I told him to wave in your general direction when he landed at the airport.

Jayne: Oh cool, tell him I waved back! Wow, they just opened the new terminal at the Airport too (on the weekend), so that should be nice for him (it opened early and under budget... they're proud of that)... is your hubby in High Tech?

Laura: My last time at the gym was yesterday and I did 30 mins on the Elliptical.... I am glad you asked that today and not yesterday

Hey everyone. Kate has a wicked cold. She is coughing and stuffy. So she was in bed with us last night and now I am exausted. Emma knows the word wicked and now sure how. Last week she told me her PJ sleeves were wicked, because they were all twisted.

10 things about me... I bet I could think of more than that, but I will try to stick to 10.

1. I grew up on a hobby farm that got out of hand. We raised sheep and I showed them and won many awards. I also had other animals, but sheep were my passion.

2. I have a degree in Animal Science with a Business Emphasis and now work in computers. I used to love it, but now hate my job and sometimes get bitter about it (try to hide that tho).

3. I have 2 wonderful girls and a great husband, who I met at a Cheese Festival (only in Wisconsin). There was a point in my life where I thought I would be single forever!

4. I absolulety love animals. All kinds of them. I have a special place in my heart for them. My dream is to get more land so I can have more. Right now I have a neurotic dog and a spazzy cat.

5. I have a passion for art and design. I am quite creative. I have too many hobbies for a normal person to handle. Right now my passion is quilting and fabric arts and fiber arts (spinning wool and other fibers, etc.)

6. I can not just sit and watch TV. I have to do something while I am sitting. I don't really relax easily.

7. I am a very competitive and jealous person. I also try to do my best and am never happy with the outcome, even if it is superior. This stems from my up-bringing.

8. I am very organized and if things get messy, I don't like it. My house is not neat, but it is organized. I like things in containers, etc. so they stay in place.

9. I change my hairstyle regularily. We were watching a video of Emma's 1st year and I had like 4-5 hairstyles in it. Hubby laughed. I get bored with things quickly!

10. AND LASTLY... my current dream is to open a design studio and teach classes in the different medias I enjoy. But, I don't have the start up money and I have a huge fear of failing. Also, I have a fear that someone will do it before I get the chance (already happening, but only in one media). I am very scared of quitting my job to do this!


OK, that is a bunch about me.

I forgot... I am also addicted to the whole Walt Disney empire. It is very strange, but Emma thinks it is cool!!!

JenL - cheese festival!!! Believe it or not - I've been to one of those as a kid.

Lynnie - I love autumn too. I grew up in an area of the country where the changing of the leaves was very pronounced.

Ali - Bellydancing!!!!! Tell me how that is. I am so uncoordinated that I've never tried but it looks like fun.

Jayne - indeed. Laundry has been somewhat of an issue with the move and the nephews.

This is a fun game

1 - I just bought my first apartment (subject removal on Monday, things are looking good!)

2 - I LOVE Horses. (you guys probably had no clue) But I'm not riding right now because they're very expensive and I wanted to save up for school. Sometimes I go to my friend's barn just because I like to be around the horses.

3 - I have a degree in theatre. I specialized in acting and worked professionally as an actor and stage manager before I got tired of the people I worked with and switched carreer focus.

4 - I'm starting nursing school in September 2004 but I'd eventually like to be a midwife.

5 - My little sister is my best friend

6 - I have an INCREDIBLY supportive family (except for my brother who requires constant support)

7- I'm currently working as a financial aid advisor at Simon Fraser University.

8 - I love cheese - especially melted cheese - so I have a weakness for foods like lasagne, nachos, cheese sticks and other gooey masterpieces.

9 - I'm currently VERY single and while I've enjoyed it for the past year I'm starting to get to the point where I'd like to meet someone "special"

10 - My older sister is going to have triplets sometime between now and November 13th - Very exciting!!
