Hello everyone! I thought I would introduce myself and get started with this diet thing. First of all I am about to turn 36 years old, I weigh about 215, my goal is 140. I have never wieghed this much in my life and I have started to see some medical trouble brewing, last time I went to the doctor my blood pressure was up (130/93) and I can hardly move around without getting winded. There is a strong line of diabetic's in the family and I can see myself headed there. The past year has been pretty tramatic at my house, our lives have changed completely due to a serious car accident that my husband and children were in. Things are better now (different but better) and I am ready to move on, I have gained 15 pounds since the accident and they will be the first to go! I am headed out the door to the grocery store for some fresh veggies and other food that is permitted, then I will be dusting off the treadmill and exercise bike!
I look forward to getting to know all of you and having diet buddies for support. I live with a house full of skinny people who don't understand the struggle I have with food. I love all the forbidden food and will really have to work at this but I know I can do it! I have read the book twice and now I am ready. I start tomorrow and I am determined to see this through.
I am tired of being stuck inside this fat lady and am ready to let the beautiful me back out! See you all on the beach...


I applaud you for not letting a bad year get you down. Now, it's time to move forward with a postive attitude about yourself and it looks like you are doing that
