New Year Resolution actually sticking (thanks to Wellbutrin + WW?)

  • Started the New Year trying to reset a few things in my life.

I started Wellbutrin around Jan 1 and at the same time decided to take WW seriously again, instead of doing it half way like I usually do. Nothing extreme - just paying a bit more attention to what I eat and trying to stick to a routine.

A few weeks in and I’m down about 7 lbs. I’m really happy about it, but also a little cautious since I know early progress can slow down once your body starts adjusting.

I didn’t start Wellbutrin for weight loss. It was more for mood, motivation and focus. That said, I’ve noticed I’m snacking less, not eating as much out of stress/boredom, and it’s been easier to stay consistant with food choices.

My more “normal” weight used to be around 170 - 180, so I’m hoping to keep moving in that direction this year.
Just sharing in case anyone else had a similiar experience when meds and routines finally lined up.

Also random question- has anyone here actually had good results with Mounjaro?
A friend keeps recommending it. I looked into Indian pharmacy options(some of them has less requirements terms of rx) as well as UK onlinepharmacy options(rather strict) but it sounds like they require weight verification, which honestly feels kinda annoying to me
I know it can be cheaper than going thru a doctor, so I’m a bit on the fence.
Curious what others experiences have been??
  • I started Mounjaro about 4–5 months ago, beginning at 2.5mg and slowly moving up. I’m currently on 7.5mg and overall I’d say it’s been manageable for me.

I agree with what you said earlier though — UK pharmacies felt pretty strict and the pricing added up fast. I did also try non-UK options at one point and they were definitely less hassle, just a different vibe overall. For me it was more about balancing cost vs how much admin I wanted to deal with.

Effect-wise, it wasn’t magic, but it did help quiet the food noise once I settled into it. Side effects were there early on but eased off after a few weeks.

I think it really comes down to personal tolerance (both physical and paperwork-wise).
I’ve used both UK and Indian pharmacies before, so just sharing my personal take.
Some Indian options definitely had a much lower barrier to entry, which I get why people like, but I’ll be honest
    - I did feel a bit uneasy at times about shipping quality and whether everything was 100% legit. Nothing bad happened, but it was always kind of in the back of my mind.
UK pharmacies felt stricter and more expensive, but I was less worried overall. For me it ended up being a trade off between convenience/cost vs peace of mind.

Just my experience though, everyone’s comfort level is different.
