Hello! My name is Stella, and this is my first time joining a weight loss support group. I'm 36 years old, married, with 4 sons. My youngest turned 1 in September, and my hubby and I think we're probably done having kids, so I'm really wanting to get back to my comfortable/healthy weight (and fit back into my pre-baby #4 clothes!). However, I'm finding the weight loss journey to be SO MUCH HARDER this time around. I think mainly I am just not utilizing self-control when it comes to my food choices. I'm definitely an emotional eater, and I homeschool my kids, SO, yeah.
I think I need accountability and a few people whose stories I can follow offering some support. I just need to feel connected to others who are walking this path so that I don't feel alone and discouraged. Seeing others making headway toward their goals is motivating too.
My current weight is 151. I need to get to 140 to fit into most of my clothes. And my most loved ball gown (my husband is a Marine, so I get a chance to wear it every year, if I'm small enough to zip it up) requires me to be around 130. 130 is my goal weight. Since having my baby over a year ago, I have lost 12 pounds. That's with nursing, lots of gym hours, lots of effort, and lots of frustration. So 21 to go feels like a mountain.
