It Works- I Can't Believe It

  • Wow! Ok....here's the thing......I was FORCED by my roommate to go with her to Weight Watchers. I started a little over a week ago on March 7th. I went to my weigh in on March 14th and was completely expecting them to say that I hadn't lost anything. I worked very diligently all week, but I didn't feel anything. I stepped on the scale.........and she said 10 pounds. I told her that had to be wrong, stepped off and did it again. 10 pounds. I lost 10 pounds in one week! I'm a believer!

While I know I won't lose 10 pounds in a week after this, what a great motivational jump start!

Also- these boards are great. The support is amazing. Keep up the good work!!!!

  • Great job! I had the same reaction when I started. I began Weight Watchers (was dragged into it by coworkers!) on March 2 of this year. Surprisingly, I've been diligent, and it's droppin goff. First week was 6 pounds, last week it was 3 and a half, and hopefully this week it will be at least 2 or 3 pounds. After just two and half weeks, I'm already starting to notice a difference in how my clothes fit. Keep it up!
  • I to am a fan of WW. It is easy and it works...having alot of fun, discovering who is under all the layers. Keep up the good work gang!
  • I found a cheap (free) way to track my weight
I've been struggling with my weight for years and I finally accepted that the only solution is to keep track of my weight as regularly as possible. Every day after I wake up but before I shower I record my daily weight and enter it into a log. I found a great website for logging weight that keeps track of progress and even tells you how many calories per day you are burning off.

Even if you're not fully in control of your diet, it is a great help to have a clear picture of what's going on. Knowing that continuing at your current rate you will slowly be adding a pound or two every month is an awfully powerful motivator, especially when you consider that skipping out on some butter or switching to diet soda might make all the difference.
  • Sounds good I'm, going to check it out! Thanks for the great tip, I'm kinda stuck at the moment.
  • WOW! You must have just glided home that night on Cloud 9!! Remember that feeling always, nomatter how long the road may seem in the future. I CAN be done.
  • Sometimes when I read the weigh watchers post I find myself wishing that I had a real time weightloss group to attend every week. Although this site is great I am a bit jealous of you ladies with flesh and blood pals to talk with. Here on base there is no group like that and no one I know is trying to lose weight, just me.
    Feeling a bit green today.
  • I don't really get support at my meetings, I get most of my support right here....chat ya soon!
