  • i just got fired.

    and i typed up a big thing in my 3FC journal and it got eaten. i don't know why.

    i'm upset. i'm all cried out though. and i didn't eat anything for breakfast but i sure ate a lot of chinese food for lunch. it didn't cheer me up like i had hoped.

    i have an interview tomorrow. it's a local office of the company i worked for in davis. i think i have a good shot. it's a bad commute but we'll see.

    but damn. i can't believe i screwed myself over so badly. i just can't seem to get everything together over here.
  • Oh, shoot, Holly, I'm so sorry!

    I'm crossing my fingers that the interview goes well.

    And go for a walk or a swim or something where you move your body. You'll feel a lot better than if you eat. Okay?
  • Holly,

    HUGS! I'm so sorry! You will find something else soon.

    Take care,
    Sherry
  • Holly, I'm so sorry! What do you mean you "screwed yourself over?" You haven't been there long - it really sucks.

    Here's to a GREAT interview tomorrow!
  • well, the whole story is, i got bored and instead of asking for more work to do (i was worried about being a pest), i spent time screwing around on the internet. i got caught, and they had told me not to use the internet when it's not on a breaktime. hence, my check was there for me when i got to work.

    they were going ot let me go at the ned of the workday, but i was feeling crappy about work so i took my boss on a "walk" and told her my concerns. she let the cat out of the bag that the big head honcho guy decided to fire me. she tried to pull for my job, but no go. he didn't even want to talk to me. and since i already knew, that was that. they sent me packing.

    the interview is actually going to be wed or thurs now. i have a phone interview on wednesday with the corporate office, and then i will get the in-office interviews after that. but still, it's a good lead.

    and i just did a workout video, so that's good too. i'll be ok. just picking myself up again.
  • So sorry about the job, Holly. Hope the new interview goes well when you get to it.

    This week's title works perfectly for me. My Mom's funeral was two weeks ago today and now it's time for life to go on. I had a great op day today, under 1400 calories, lots of water and a good walk. Now to string two days together and get life back to "normal".
  • Holly.. I am so sorry about the job lose... but believe .. everything happens for a reason. Once you have a new job you will realize that everything worked the way it was supposed to Hugs to ya!!!
  • Sorry about your job, sweetie. I hope you find an even better one to make up for it.

    Nothing too exciting going on here.
  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Holly! That is the *worst* news I've gotten since.... yeah. You'll find something even better, I just know it. Hold your head up high, I'll keep you in my prayers. I just know you'll have "everything together" someday -soon!- *hugs*

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    School is cool... I guess. I'm having a hard time adjusting to my new math teacher though. He goes really quickly and I know it's going to be a long year of coming in before class/after class/in between classes/raising my hand a million times/etc. Oh well. No one ever said it was going to be easy to keep a 4.0.....
    175 school days until summer vacation! :lol
  • Holly, I'm so sorry to hear that! I know it stinks, but maybe the next job will be even better than this one.
    Anagram, it's only been two weeks, so I think you're already making great progress. It can seem to take forever before things seem "normal" again.
    Apryl, a 4.0 is amazing. Two of my daughters are like and carry 4.0's and I know it's really hard work. I'm really proud of you!!!
  • Anagram,
    I'm so sorry about your mom. I'm so proud of you for already being back in the world again, getting stuff done.
  • Holly, that sucks about the job, but if you were bored and unsatisfied it means it wasn't the right job for you to begin with. Now you have the opportunity to find one that will keep you happily busy with interesting work that you really enjoy!
    Anagram, I understand what a difficult time it must be for you and you're doing so well to concentrate on improving your health while you deal with the grief process. It's so therapeudic on so many levels - good for you.
    Apryl, haven't all your "elders" told you that your school years will be the best years of your life? I know, go ahead and roll your eyes at me Great grade point average girl, keep it up!
  • Holly - I'm SO sorry (((hugs))) I know how you feel. I'll be prayin for you. It's wierd - I craved chinese when I lost my job too - go figure.
    Tonight's weigh in - here's hoping for a loss for me!
  • I don't need to lose anything to crave Chinese!
    Good luck @ the weigh-in B.A.
    Jillegal-
    I really hope things don't get worse from here on out. I refuse to believe that ages 14-18 are the absolute epitome of life... (God I hope not...) but in all seriousness, yeah, I must say that I do like school! Shh.... don't tell anyone!
  • Anagram, I am sorry I missed that about your mom earlier. She will always be w/you.
    This is how my night went:
