The year before last I had went from 250 to 185 and then last year I ended up in a relationship and stopped caring about what I was eating and now I am back up to 222. I have tried everything to get my weight loss back in gear but cannot seem to do it. Does anyone have any tips on how many calories I should eat a day and how to stay on track? Thanks!
Hello,
I am trying to loose 50lbs and I count my calories now and try to keep them around 1,200 and no processed food or red meats. I've lost 15lbs so far.
Thank you for your reply, I am going to try and start with 1200 calories. It is just so hard for me to cut back. Good luck to you!

How many calories you should eat depends on several factors, so it's hard to give an exact number. If you're exercising regularly (both cardio and strength training), you can probably eat 1500 calories per day and still lose weight at a fast rate.
It'll be easier to cut calories if you eat foods that are filling. Foods that are high in fiber, protein, or water tend to be filling. Some examples of filling foods are most vegetables and fruits, fish, eggs, beans, and quinoa. Avoid sweets, which are not very filling.
