Back after a long while

  • I was a member here quite some time ago; had to change my log-in name because my old e-mail addresses were no longer active. I've tried different types of plans, including Sonoma, South Beach, and Weight Watchers. Most recently I tried the Engine 2 Diet, but it's vegan and so restrictive and I didn't have time to gather and cook all of the necessary ingredients every day. I decided to dig out my old Weight Watchers cookbooks from the 80s/90s. The plan was much different then and involved dietary exchanges to choose from rather than points. It worked well for me then, as it is a very structured way to eat but there are lots of choices within the structure, and it's working for me now. I'm doing it mostly vegetarian, with a bit of fish thrown in. I do cook vegan meals frequently, but it's good to be able to have some yogurt or a cheese stick etc. now and again.

I am married and have three adult, married children. I also have three young grandchildren. I am working now but retiring in two months.
  • Hi!

I find exchange programs kind of overwhelming but I'm having a lot of success with the current version of WW. I'm already kind of preparing myself to just roll with it when it changes because it ALWAYS changes. When I find something that works, I don't like to rock the boat!

    Are you going to meetings?
  • I am a lifetime member, but I am not attending meetings. I kind of think I wouldn't fit in because I don't like and don't use the points system.
