My sister goes in for her open RNY tommorow. I was wondering if any of you wise ladies have any last minutes suggestions for us? Anything you wished you had at the hospital or the first few days home?? Thanks.

for some reason, most people don't want coffee or tea - even decaf - for awhile. don't worry, it' doesn't last forever!!! crystal light or other fruit flavor no cal things taste good.

shoes that don't need to be tied. slip ons are best.

I had my Lap Rny just Friday and came home on Sunday. The only thing that I was greatful for was that my Husband stayed with me the first 36 hours. I wish that he was there the whole time. If that can be arranged by the hospital that was the best forme. It tended to calm me down. Like Jiff I wished that I had taken some crystal light. Your favorite pillow. the ones at the hospital were plastic covered and hard to sleep with.
