10 Days In The Life Boat #198

  • Welcome to the latest segment of 10 Days In The Life Boat.

This is not a "challenge" but a place for accountability to ourselves and support from our fellow rowers. So, what is your plan for this 10 day segment?

Grab an oar and join us doing our best to not fall out of the boat and get wet. We need to meet our goals to stay dry.
  • My goals are to not abandon the ship and to continue to try sticking to WW.
As you all know that has not worked well lately.
  • Hang in there Judy.
I may be mostly lurking but I always check to see how you are doing. I am rooting for you.
Mind if I ask but, have you been looking for something other then WW that might suit you better?
    Sorry for the thread hijack.
    Ubee
  • Hi Ubee,
I love WW and the only reason I have a or problem is me. I know I cannot get into my car w/o something to eat. It drives me automatically to FF or somewhere to get munchies. If I plan my meals ahead, and forget, or avoid, taking a healthy munchie with me, I'm sunk. If I give in often enough, tracking goes down the drain and I binge. If I make myself drive after a meal and have a healthy snack with me, so I feel in control, I'm fine. It's a life long battle for me. I lose a bunch, slip/fall/tumble hit rock bottom and restart. Yesterday, I think was my rock bottom and today I'm doing fine.

I'm in my seat, dry and rowing like a pro.
  • Greetings!
I had a minor splash yesterday. I tracked it and have put it behind me. Still dry and rowing away.
  • Row away Judy!
  • Still proud to be dry and rowing hard.

I've been using a lot of self talk when I'm driving. That's where I'm at my worst. This little mantra worked today “Are you hungry? You can’t be you ate and were full 2 hrs ago. Just keep driving.” I'm also keeping tiny peppermints in my pocket. I don't like them enough to binge on them but they take the "imagined" edge off. It takes a lot of them to = one point.
  • Was doing great. Then yesterday was an over the side and start swimming to catch up with the boat, kind of day.
Today I'm back aboard and rowing comfortably. Not even a splash. YAY!
  • Lost a bit over 4.5 lbs this week Can't complain about that.
    New leg begins tomorrow.
  • Oars Down!

We need to get supplies then head over to slip #199. Today begins the next leg of our journey aboard the Life Boat.
