Within your household are you the only one on a diet? If so, does having other food that you cannot eat in your house bother you? Do you have to make separate foods at each meal?
When you go to parties, family gatherings etc., are those hosting accommodating to you or do you bring your own food?

My house is full of junk foods. I have a husband, two kids and mother in law who are all not on a diet. It does bother me occasionally when my husband is making himself a large bowl of popcorn and eating it next to me. Despite the fact I just made him a full nice dinner. At dinnertime, I always make a meat and vegetable that I can eat. Then I prepare a starchy item for others. There is usually salad in the house for me (or whoever wants it). Although last night, I shake and baked pork chops for the rest of the family and made a plain one for myself.
When I go out I never bring food or expect a host to accommodate me. I just took my daughter to a birthday party at one of our friend's home. There was nothing but chips, pizza, then cake. I had nothing but a bottle of water. It seems awkward to bring food to somebody's house; I'm not going to starve in three hours.
Within my household I am the only one who eats low carb but I am not bothered at all by the junk food or high carb foods that are in the house.
The only meal we all eat together is dinner and I will make the same meat for everyone just cook it differently and then make whatever side and/or veggie they want for them. I eat a lot of vegetables they don't like and prefer fresh versus canned or frozen and prefer mine roasted so I make the separate vegetables for me. It doesn't bother me to do this and it's really not much more effort than cooking the same food for everybody.
We alternate holidays between family members homes and usually the host will do the main course and everyone else bring side dishes and desserts. Everyone knows I'm low carb but they do not make any special dishes for me but I can eat just about any meat as long as it's not breaded and any vegetable and whatever dish I bring it's usually something I can eat. If I go somewhere and I know there is going to be nothing there that I can eat I will eat before going
My husband and I eat separately. In April of 2016 I developed some serious food allergies and sensitivities. As a result, I can only eat about 20 foods and I can't have any spices. My food is repetitive and bland. It's been great for weight loss- food boredom is real- and mostly my husband's meals don't bother me too much even though they smell delicious. Every once in a while he makes something that was a favorite meal of mine pre-illness and I get jealous but mostly we just putter along ok.
