welcome, carol!!!! so, here's the big question.. it sounds as if you're not having problems with kaiser, but another board member is having nightmares with them! they also told her that she could only have it done by a general surgeon, not a bariatric surgeon..

Hi jiffypop thank you! I love your name well I will speak to my doctor next week and see what he says it's my internal med dr that I will see. I have heard though that n.cali kaisers do these surgeries so much now that it's a big demand so I will see what my internal med dr says when I see him next friday wish me luck!

and am considering wls. I have a dr's appointment next friday to discuss it. I live here in cali and my hmo is Kaiser. I was talking to my dr's nurse and she's getting it done to! lol I'm like wow so I would appreciate any info that you all can give me. I live here in northen cali and kaiser only has 3 centers that do it san francisco,richmond and san diego. My dr's nurse is going down to san diego because they do 5 a day ( I was impressed) so wish me luck. I was just reading the posts here and this seems like such a beautiful group
