A little background: I have a very good friend who is beautiful, stylish, and also struggles with her weight. The other day I went over to her house go walking but she hadn't changed out of her work clothes. When she unbuttoned the dress slacks that she has wanted to get back into for a couple of years, she said in relief, "I've wanted to do that all day!" and proceeded to show me where the waist had "cut" her. These weren't deep cuts, and had she not shown me I would not have known that the pants were a tad too small as they fit her every place else. She then said, "Another 5 lbs. and these will fit comfortably and I won't have to sausage myself." That looked about right and I thought it was a great description!

One of the beautiful results of weight loss is to wear things we've never been able to or shop our closets and wear pieces we've outgrown. My question is, do you ever sacrifice comfort to wear something you love but can't quite fit into just yet? Or do you wait until something fits you comfortably and/or perfectly? How uncomfortable are you willing to be?

, I completely agree with both your comments! Nightowlrn. However, in this instance, there was no evidence of a muffin top as she had on the most beautifully cut blouse on that day. Lucky her because I've never had that experience!
