I guess I don't get dinner for the rest of the month because that's how far I had to go in order to lose weight the last time. I can't live like that. That's not a lifestyle change. That's BS! I hate having to starve myself to lose weight. I hate fasting. I hate this plateau...I'm going for a walk...
    10/27: 149.0 Four days to lose 2 lbs
    10/28: 148.0 This is about where I was, so I doubt I will see any more full lb drops overnight.
    10/29: 148.2 Less dairy, more grain, ate nuts, didn't poop, up early - so many things may have worked against me yesterday. If I could just hit 147.6 it's still progress.
    10/30: 147.2 First weight loss since late June. I wish I was happier, but instead I'm more relieved.
    10/31: 146.8 Again, more relieved than happy.

    Total Weight Lost: Overall, -1 lb but still an achievement. This might be my longest plateau, June 28th through October 30th. I think I look thinner through the torso and more toned in the arms even when I was weighing in the 150s still, and I'm sure I'll be right back there again once PMS kicks in.

  • The thread's a little light this month. I hope we all still make decent progress by Halloween. My measurements haven't changed in a long time, but yesterday I noticed my arm muscles are more defined and my stomach and thighs seem to have more loose skin than they did a few months ago. Not the prettiest non-scale victory, but at least something's changed. I'll take whatever progress I can get until I see the numbers on the scale go down.

  • Sorry guys this month has been rough in my house both financially and mentally. I feel bad because I haven't kept up on posting my weights; instead, I've been tracking them on paper. I probably won't hit my goal this month but I've managed to not gain a lot of weight while TOM is here so that is always good
  • Well, I am ending this month 0.2 lbs lighter than I started it. However, a loss is a loss and November will be better. I hope everyone is doing good and setting their goals for next month. Mine are: 1-lose 5 lbs; 2-drink 8 cups of water a day; 3-focus on my calorie goal; 4-track my weight daily (on paper, phone, and here); and 5-live my life!! Anyone else?
  • Happy Halloween everybody. It's been another rough month, but I set out to break a plateau and I did so yay I guess. I'm still bummed about how little weight I've been able to lose this year. I don't count calories but apparently what I need to eat in a day to lose weight equals what I eat during breakfast, lunch, and a light snack, and I don't normally eat big meals either. I cut out dinner in part of June and again late this month and it's been the only way for me to lose new weight, otherwise I'm stuck in maintenance. What happens when that stops working and I'm stuck again for months and months? How little can a person eat? This can't be the answer. Have I screwed up my metabolism? Am I more fit or more healthy at this weight than I think I am? Do I accept the "some people were meant to be big" mentality and just be proud of the weight loss I've achieved so far, or is that selling myself short because it means I'm not trying hard enough? As weight loss and exercise make me more fit can I even "lifestyle change" my way to a normal BMI weight? It already takes drastic changes to lose lbs at this point and I've got 20 more lbs to go. I also think I'm getting too fit for my cardio workouts and that I should do more HIIT, but because diet makes a much bigger difference in my weight and I can't keep up routines I don't like then I will focus more on figuring out the meal situation for next month.
  • Hey Guys. Happy Halloween. Its been rough for me too this month. I dont know what has been happening. For the most part I have been eating well and working out but I am not moving and even gaining. Its becoming very frustrating. I think I'm also very stressed out. I have been since August because of pent up distress from my ex leaving me last year. I've been starting to meditate and hopefully, if I can get rid of some of the feelings I'm having of anger and bitterness, my body will do better. hopefully November is better. Once again, I know that my lack of visiting this site on a daily basis is part of my loss of motivation too. I need to do better My goal was to lose 35 lbs before I turn 35 and that was when I was at 237. Today I'm at 242 so WTF?!?!?!?
