I thought this was .... odd to say the least.
I get that being a bigger person it takes losing a significant amount before it really shows. It hasn't bothered me that no one has said anything. In fact I prefer it. But this just kind of blew my mind... So the other day two co-workers are standing there and one says to me, you are looking great... after thanking her she walks away. The other one says "Yeah, I noticed too, but didn't want to say anything because when you tell some one that you can tell they lost weight - they get cocky and lazy and gain it all back and what was the point of giving them a compliment."
Yeah... that's what she said. I just looked at her and tried my best to channel some sort of southern belle response instead of my native New Yorker... and honestly came up with nothing. Guess I channeled my inner Thumper (from Bambi) and "if you can't say anything nice, don't say nothing at all." I just turned and walked away.

I'm sorry you work with her.
