Wishy-Washy Wednesday

  • It's going to be sort of a blah day - hot and humid as has been the norm lately. "Wishy washy" refers to weather, not me wishing I could do laundry.

Debbie, you gave me a good laugh over in your yesterday afternoon post. I had forgotten we had that!

Had a good coffee time with Nancy and her sister Sandy from PA yesterday morning. They sure were riled up about the political situation in the USA and assumed I knew nothing about it. Hello! I guess they didn't realize we have TV in this wee hamlet. Too funny! They got over that impression quickly.

"Batting" zero on catching the , so far. (The Batman programme theme is my new earworm. ) He/She disappeared during the day but showed up at 2 a.m., zooming around the bedroom. I closed the door once it left and there is no sign of it this morning. ** Sigh ** Gotta love life in the wilderness.

Going to town today for some odds and ends, including a white top to wear with my navy jacket and pants when I go to Ottawa tomorrow for lunch with my sister. We are meeting our two newly discovered cousins for lunch at a gallery/pub and it should be fun. Long story about how we never met these first cousins and a lot to catch up on.

Time to get it in gear and go to town after the morning "rush" - minimal in Brockville a town of 10K. So nice not to have to go check the cash at the Mill - Sharon is taking over beautifully.

    Happy Hump Day!
  • Good morning,

Getting ready to head into work today, it's another hot and humid rainy day ahead blah! Nothing on the agenda today other than work.

Ruth did you remove the bat from your house?

    Have a great day everyone
  • Nope, it's still there, Pearlrose - hidden somewhere waiting for night. I am considering leaving upstairs windows open and screenless tonight since the darn thing doesn't remember how it got in.
  • I'm headed down for one more coffee before my roofing crew arrives. Have a great day everyone!
  • Ruth that might be a good idea to see if it will leave during the night.
