Game Over, GoodBye Plus Size.

  • Hey Folks!

I can't say I'm entirely new to this website, as I used it about 10 years ago. The support I received from everyone here was incredible and I was indeed able to reach my goal. However that was before real life started. Now I live on my own, with my child, and I'm having a **** of a time sticking to eating healthy. Maybe it's because when my daughter wants ice cream & junk food, I think I need it too.

I guess I should really do more of an introduction rather than a ***** session, huh?

Well I'm 26, I just recently got a huge promotion at work which means I sit on my *** more often, and that's not helping my current situation at all. I love to cook, and I'm always trying to make "skinny" versions of what I love. I have tried to keep tabs on what I'm cooking on a blog, but apparently I'm totally lacking in the self control department and I haven't been able to stick with that either.

I've been trying to get out and enjoy the nice weather more often, I've been going on some walks, and I have also started doing some home workouts thanks to the little knowledge that I have from my previous weight loss success. I'm trying to incorporate some park fitness into my routine so I can burn calories while my daughter wears herself out completely.

Good luck to everyone who is new here, and if you need a sarcastic, hilarious, no-filter pal to help get you through this...get ahold of me!

    Have a fantastic sunday!
  • Hello, and back!! I just returned recently too after having been off site for quite a while. Fortunately, while I was off of this site, I was NOT off of plan and now weigh four pounds more than I did three years ago. Planning to kick off a few more pounds though. Fortunately I love eating the way I do, and have kept up my swimming. Also fortunately, thanks to a great physical therapist, I have been able to do some hiking again and live in a fantastic place for that. Now that summer is here I will be able to head up on some mountain trails again. My physical therapist taught me the value of trekking poles... a super help!!

Good to see you have a plan, and I wish you great success in achieving your goals.

  • Welcome back! I'm coming back as well! Best of luck you seem like a good person to have around in a sticky spot like this :P Do sound like you're coming into this with a plan, that's have the battle!
  • Winosaurus you are so cute and I just bet you are a lot of fun!

I want to say if you feel temped by the ice cream and "junk" that your daughter eats maybe it's time to look at healthier options for your daughter, too. I understand how it is.. easier said then done.We want to treat our kids or in my case my grand child and the food industry and social pressures make it hard to resist all the temptations. I have read about parents trying to keep their kids on a healthy diet but were high jacked into eating junk at birthday parties and soccer games. And it's hard being bombarded by commercials and at then there is the snack and cereal aisles at the grocery store.

Best of luck. I hope to read more of your posts, soon.
